But tonight!
Tonight, I cook!
The county fair is on this weekend and my baked goods have to be ready. I'm doing an apple pie (my peach pie took Reserve Grand Champion last year) and a strawberry cake kinda thing I haven't named yet. Game on you old beeotches!! Move over granny! Atomic Bob is in the house.
I'll get up some pics and get back on this.
In the meantime, you guys kill someone for me.

Thanks for the well wishes. (Not many people get behind a bake off effort. LOL) Old ladies are a tough bunch of birds. I hope this pie can hold em off......

Looks good.
Those leaves somewhat resemble a certain illegal plant. What exactly did you put in this pie?

Ha! A sauce for "fund raising" purposes. You guys will stop at nothing.
:hehehe:
But, here is "The cake". I hope the berries hold up until judging. I hope the frosting doesn't melt. I hope it tastes good! (Key element of which I have no idea.)

Heading down shortly to the awards ceremony. Woot!
I know the pie got a blue ribbon. Not so good but ok. I need to work on filling I guess, since the crust was the most killer sheeit on the planet.
The cake got a blue ribbon and a Grand Champion Ribbon.
The final details, premiums (cash) and prizes are all given out at the ceremony.
(nice freakin cake)

OK, the results are in! Woot! The pie was what I said earlier, and kinda disappointing. The cake got the cake Grand Champion and also Reserve Grand Champion Best of Show out of 134 entries. That got me a plaque. That's Saur like results! :yaya: The pie sold for $17 and the cake for $22, that's not much but good stuff for this fair, and enough to make a few more of each to eat. :hehehe:
