It is an awesome game, and it isnt that bad price wise. My only problem I am into too many games. I play BF2 every night, or try too... Guild Wars, now WoW, it is fun though, if you can find the time I would say go for it!!!

WELL, I voted no, because, like you previously stated, it costs like $0.50 a day, I mean c'mon that is cheaper than a pack of gum, so what do I do, I make a pot of coffee instead of buying a cup, saves me $1.79 a day, total savings $1.79 - 0.50 = $1.29 in savings go me :hehehe:

I voted no because
A) WoW looks like a cartoon. YA LETS GO RUN AROUND WITH AWESOME COMIC BOOK LIKE CHARACTERS!!! "Oohhh but rune - its gameplay that matters" Read below.
B) I don't want to pay for a game i've already bought - And don't argue "oh they have updates blah blah blah. I don't care. That's like buying BF2 then having to pay for the patches. No. You make the game, you patch it, you add onto it.
C) I Don't own the game and I have an opinion on it. Sue me.
D) It's an MMOPRG. Gameplay just went out the window. Oh I have an idea, let's run and kill more things for more XP for more levels for more items... for.. you get the point. "But CS:S is .. the same thing too." Yea, but CS:S offers adrenaline.
E) MMORPG < FPS

And you are right, you can have your own opinion, just not here :P :jester: but seriously, I dont think it s the pay to play, but rather the types of games people like to play.
Edit: I don't count... I LIKE ALL GAMES...

Fanboys unite.
Multiplex do me a favor, don't respond to my posts. You anger me. EVERYTIME I see you post you like to troll. Even more than Bonez.
And yes, I have my opinion about a game I havn't even played. See C) for that.
Nsane, save your money. Unless you like MMORPG's of course. Then go for it. But.. how do you expect to get the monthly payment if your parents won't let you have money?

Jeez I hate to argue with you Rune because I actually like you, I know everyone is entitled to their opinions also, but trust me Ive timesunk so many hours into the worst of the worst betrayer "Everquest". Ive also passed on Dark Age of Camelot, SWG, because once I saw them being played I was like .........bah Everquest.
WoW just isnt like the others gameplaywise. Doing quests in everquest was just flat out boring, as was guild wars. The way they hand out quests in WoW is just plain neat to watch. Usually a quest will start that will be a series of quests but you wont realize it til your like 3 into it. One that comes to mind for me is the Samoflange quest, dont quote me, but this quest for Horde players goes on for like 15 different NPC's. It took me like 3 days to do it, but not just cause I was on that one quest. Usually we'd be on our way somewhere and Id say "wait, I have another quest in this area" so that would delay us. Eventually you get around to it though.
Often your rewarded with a piece of gear for the quest too. Now you may or not use that piece of gear but your never dissapointed because your always rewarded with money and usually a boatload of experience too.
Other neat things I like:
--the ability to share quests with party members. If you form a random party to do an instance zone or any other quest, your not just going to help out a guildie or timesink time for no reward. Almost all quests can be shared which means you never have to run to a certain NPC "to get the quest". As long as you have space in your quest log, you can write down that quest too. This happened the other day in Wailing Caverns. I had two quests, another guy had two, and a third person had a fifth. After we got done sharing, we all had 5 quests to work on.
--party member limit 5. Alot of MMorgs go by the 6 person party rule. I like WoW's 5. It puts more emphasis on every member of the team to contribute. I remember in EQ sitting in grinding parties while some wizard went AFK to "take a shower and eat some food" for 30 minutes. And to date I havnt grinded yet either.
--the go kill and collect quests. WoW has an AI system in place that if you go kill say a bunch of Zevras (evil zebras) the AI will recognize that more Zevras need to spawn there and within a minute will start respawning a greater number of zevras to meet the demand of the server. No long hunts for something everyone is hunting.
And as far as adrenaline goes Ive had some harrowing escapes out of places I probably shouldnt of escaped from. But I crave more adrenaline too which is why Im switching over to Player vs. Player. If Im out in no mans land, I want to feel Im taking a risk.

Valid points Jeff. Thanks for reminding me of...
PvP. Yes. The one great thing about any MMORPG. See, Guild Wars PvP was slow, and dull. (IMO, and yes I do have experience in that one). If the PvP in WoW is anything like D2, it would definately be worth it. I loved D2 PvP, although flawed, was very fun. It was quick, and exciting. I remember waking up really early sometimes to do some duels before school.
I guess you have to look at a few things when buying WoW:
A) Can you afford the monthly fee?
B) Can you afford the game itself?
I guess the monthly fee just kills it for me. I could afford it, I would just feel guilty having my mom pay for something which she already paid for.

Ive read alot of player journals over at the unofficial world of warcraft page. From what I understand and from what Persepone told me it goes something like this.
--if your Alliance player and you enter a Horde zone, you cannot attack a Horde player unless they attack you. Vice versus for the other way around. There are ALOT of contested zones which are not Horde or Alliance so when you enter you are automatically flagged for player vs player combat. That makes getting to an outpost somewhat of a challenge.
--from reading player journals it seems like Player vs. Player combat is very quick, although some serious skills required. I guess if you attack someone and they are in a group then all their little group mates can come down on you too. Ouch.
--I know WoW has a Capture the Flag type battlefield that is specific PvP, even on the PvE servers. Unlike Guild Wars, you wont have a lot of Korean Symbols saying "Good Ruck to you Yankee Brue Jeans!"
--You can form large raiding parties and go raid the major cities. Major Cities in WOW are huge in my opinion. The first time I saw Orgimaar I was like holy snipes........
I dont know. There are two very distinct factions in WoW and I just want the oppurtunity to exploit that part of the game. One thing I hated about Everquest was the faction part of the game where a troll could eventually be a "good troll" Hooray, its the good troll. Youll never see that shit in WoW. Horde hates Alliance and Alliance hates the Horde and from what I understand its not uncommon to call on friends because these 3 idiots just ambushed me lets go kick their ass... that sounds like fun.
=HR=Gumby!!!

WoW PvP = Delicious! Nothing beats when a full Alliance raid party meets a full Horde Raid party. 40 v 40. Feels like you are in a scene from LOTR  I've got my 45 rouge sneaking around offing mages, doin my thing when this huge freakin 60 tauren warrior sees me and charges me, but just as he gets there a friendly palidan steps in and saves my butt. Quite the rush.
Then there are Battlegrounds too.....DELICIOUS

I will repost my previous info here because it is relavant and the reason I voted NO WITHOUT BUYING THE GAME!! HAHAHA!!!!
Also, after further analysis and research, I have concluded that I will never buy this game. The fee is actually $15.99 per month not $10. And from talking to... someone, some states even throw in an internet tax on top of that when you pay online. Can;t remember who but someone told me last night with the tax and everything else it was $80 for a sixth month period. And the trial is only one month long not 3. So the purchase of the game + the fee, you spend over $100 to play a game for 7 months... WOW is right. I bought D2 with the expansion for $40 and played it for almost 3 years (quality differences aside). I guess I'd rather save up for a down payment on a house or a trip to Europe.
No game is worth paying this much. Its a game, not an investment. If I put that much into a TSA every year, I would be set for retirement.
I would like to mention that this truly does sound like the best MMORPGs I've ever heard of... but I still will never buy it.

Thats were getting a job comes into play. But the more I read the more I just want to try it :dunno: I guess for now I will put my money (when I get a job) towards a server for us

No I didnt vote but I just wanted to put my two cents in on this one. Stop arguing about wether the game is good enough to pay for or not. Anything is worth the money if it is fun for you. If you think you might like the game then buy and pay the monthly fee, if you dont like it then stop paying for it, it really is that simple. No one is forcing anyone to pay, we do it because we want to. That is all.
