this card sells at newegg for about $400. you usually dont see the XT for less than 350 which is why this deal is weird-cheap.

so i ordered it on sunday but havent got a tracking number. now the site shows this item "IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE" but tigerdirect says they are just out of stock. should get a tracking# today or tomorrow.

Does anything actually take advantage of the add'l PCI-E bandwidth yet? AFAIK, 8x AGP hasn't been maxxed out yet... so unless you're going for SLI...

i talked to tigerdirect today because i thought they werent going to fill my order. they say that they are just "out of stock" even tho the site says "no longer available".

at that price i see why they blew their inventory out.

Can a PCI-express work in a normal PCI slot? Will you still get hardware performance?

Nope. The card won't even fit.

But you should spash the cash on the new mother board...it is worth it..
