Server crashed hard today for some reason even though we didn't make any changes to the server for a while now. While it was down, I took the opportunity to fullfill some requests from you guys:
1. Change up the map cycle so Daqing isn't the first any more.
2. Make city maps (Karkand, Sharqi, Mashtuur) every other map.
3. Make CleanSweep and Songhua 16-players.
Here's the new map cycle as of 8/10/05.
Dragon Valley
Sharqi
Oman
Mashtuur
Daqing
Karkand
Dalian
Clean Sweep 16-player
Kubra
Zatar
Songhua 16-player
Enjoy!

won't the 16-player maps (with 16-player ticket ratios) be over in like 5 min with 64 players?

I really like the new map set up but was thinking that until we can change the number of tickets maybe we should do the 32 player versions instead. Just becouse on maps like Clean sweap the USMC team has almost no chance of winning the game is just to short.
But I would rather have it this wat then the way it was before, thanks admins.

So....errr....how does it pick who gets to play on the 16 player version? Do I get all the way kicked off, or does it let me spectate?

64 players play on a 16 player map, I love it, map takes no time to be over

Holy God. My computer already gets kinda choppy with a lot of characters on screen! Well, errrr, I guess somebody needs to stay back at the nice quiet base sometimes, right?
It is AWESOME that you got rid of oilfields as the first map. Nothing beats a great server crash followed by my absolute least favorite map!

Gah, ruined one of my favorite maps. Between that and the fact that its hard to get on the server I play more elsewhere it seems now.

Can't wait to check out the new rotatioin today. Needs', I rarely have to wait long to get in. With all the server crashes (wheres 1.3 already  ) and client CTD's I can't remember the last time I waited longer then 5 minutes. You could always hop on TS and ask that room be made. Though I've never really used this method I know they make room for reg's such as yourself all the time.

First Impressions:
Overall Like the new Map Rotation.
16-Player - Operation Clean Sweep, there are two few transport vechiles for the US, since MEC starts with all the flags, the US has almost no chance to win. On the reverse side its so short it doesn't bother me, but I think 32 player of this would be better.
16-Player - Stalemate, I absolutely had a blast on this map. Yeah its short, but its hard hitting action from the get go and alot of fun. This will be a great map if once the tickets can be increased.

16-Player - Operation Clean Sweep: the people who get the medals for the rounds are the bomber pilots and copilots, if competent. I was lucky enough to grab the F15 as USMC, and the rest of the team captured 2 of the points on the island... 4-5 bombing passes on MEC's only spawn I had 50-someodd points with my copilot having 40-someodd, we easily got the gold and silver stars, with the bronze going to one of the ground players with 19 points.
This situation could easily be reversed with MEC holding all it's points and hitting the US's spawn island repeatedly. I agree, we may have to bump this map up to the 32 player version.
16-Player - Stalemate, once again, I agree, this map is a blast and works great, albeit a bit short. but this map pulls off exacly what was attempted with the drop in size, intense, almost nonstop firefights. though chopper whoring is still a potential problem, hitting all 4 points quickly and denying spawn to the other team would quickly kill the fun. only way to make this better is an increase in tickets, when it becomes possible.

I loved operation cleansweep the way it was for exactly the reason so many other people disliked it. Being spread out and wide open to the water on all sides allowing attack from any direction forced a style of gameplay not seen on the other maps. The distances needing to be covered caused defenders to spread out and combat was dispersed along the island. Occasionally things evolved into the US holding one end and the MEC the other with a big slugfest in the middle. Those were the times that tactics were actually used to cut off an enemy and take their rear. Or the capture of the MEC home airfield which put them short of equipment forcing a struggle to re-capture it led to a frag fest at their base. All things I enjoyed where you had to think a little bit rather than hop in the nearest vehicle and go cap a flag.
Shrug, It's an "arcade" style of play and if the majority wills it, so be it. I will just play that one elsewhere.

I agree with Needle on CleanSweep. Now it seems like the map is a bit pointless, giving little time for tactics to make much of a difference. The US can just blackhawk the MEC to death, and the only defense that works quickly enough to make a difference is killing off the US at their spawn with the bomber. This also leads rise to a whole lot of people wanting the bomber on the MEC side. I can be witness to this, for those of you who've read my post on tk'ing.
On stalemate, I agree with ChiaDan. It can be pretty fun, but the rounds are too short. The first two times I played on it, my squad easily stole the blackhawk from the US, leading to more chaos :P. When control of tickets is allowed, we should make this map longer.
