Hello to the BF2 server people out there,

I've been playing regularly on WiH (Battlefield 2) for several weeks now, and there are alot of good and friendly people hanging around. Greell was kind enough to fling me in the right direction of the website and forums, so here I am!

Since mostly everyone is following the "So tell us some info like:" thread...

- Origin of your nickname
A Chia Pet and my name, Dan, been using it for ages

- Age
22

- Where you are from
Los Angeles, CA

- What you do for a living IRL
Sales Rep for a computer/digital imaging manufacturer

- Which game brought you to WiH
Battlefield 2

- What games are you playing
My game time right now is split between Battlefield2 and Guild Wars

- Other interesting info about yourself
um... not all that interesting, other than I always run my laptop next to my desktop while I play, so I can look up other players stats (via http://bf2tracker.com) on the fly. Makes for useful analysis of your teammates and your opponents. I also heavily prefer VOIP squads.

Anyhow, that's me! Hope to see you all on the battlefield.

what's that supposed to mean? lol

as for GW, good to know. I am already in a guild, but if anyone wants to freind me, or could use a lvl20 Healing/Protection Monk, add Naric Darkhaven to your freinds list. if I'm not wrapped up in a mission, I'll help out.

also to run my messangers, irc, and my torrents (with very low bandwith useage restrictions) so i have something to do (talk to people, look at websites) between map loading, and so i don't have to alt-tab or have other programs eating up CPU cycles on my desktop when i'm focused on BF2 or another game.

Hey chia ;).

You could also use a second monitor for irc, msn, aim, etc.

trillian runs all ^.^

And with a game like battlefeild2, you want as little extra stress on your graphics processor as possible, to devote as much processing power to the game, running a second monitor would cut onto this.

Unless i was running a PentiumD Extreme Edition (sorry AMD fanatics, Intel > AMD for multi tasking  ) and some form of SLI video that worked properly (damn technology is too new) then maybe I could put it all on one box. But untill then, battlefeild gets its own system, everything else gets bumped to the lappy... :D The new centrino chipsets can more than easily handle everything else anyway.
