Here's a question- I'd like to get an actual headset. Those of you who have heard me of the server probably know that it is often muffled and crappy.

"FAR ...ING ARN .....CRACK"
"What?"
"They're coming around the ba....."
Eject <head shot> Inspector Fowler
Dangit....

Anyway. My question.

When you get a headset, is there any way to run the game sounds through the speakers and the voice through the headset, kind of like Xbox Live? I like keeping them separate. If that is possible, are there specific headsets you have to get to do it?

some headsets have a separate plug for the earphones and the mic

Yeah I second what monos said that is what i use one with two connection. I just use the mic to talk and the one ear head set for nothing. I like it and it works great for me no complaints from other except that I might talk too much. However you do have to be careful if the mic is to close to your mouth it will get muffeled and distorted.

Anything else let me know bro, Lord

Which headphone set are you using that has that feature?

I have a cheapo $25 Logitech headset that also has separate connections for mic and speaker. I only connect the mic plug and hang the headset around my neck with the mic aimed up so I can talk into it.

Thanks for the tips. Hopefully, the next time I get some cash I can be a little clearer on the server.
