Wrong order for weapons

This is just my opinion, but lately the use of the n00b tube, grenade launcher, is geting more frustrating. I now see players using nothing but that during the city maps. :upyours: I love it when they kill themselves as well as me. :rockon:

This is not to say that I don't use the grenade launcher, but I don't use it in close quarters.

I think EA made a mistake by making the grenade launcher available for everybody immediately. I think it should have been an unlock for the assault class.

I liked America's Army because the M203 wouldn't arm until the grenade had traveled some distance (I think it was like 40 meters or so). This prevented people from using it like a noob cannon in some spots.

Of course, it didn't stop them from using it everywhere, but it really helped.

Yeah the greanade launcher is a bit over used. Although I enjoy doing a 50 metere greande shot on a sniper.

If you see an assault kit coming at you then *YOU* should be the one bunnyhopping.

Assault grens become much less effective if you jump/prone/jump/prone while you shoot. If they truly are n00bs you are fighting then after you make them miss the first gren... they'll be an easy kill right?

very simple to use.
1 Run right up to the person (under 3 feet away is best)
2 point it at thier feet (start hopping)
3 pull trigger (bunny hop away)

This is the only thing I use on city maps. I dont bunnyhop though. Im not L33T enough. Im more like LT.

1. Gun at point blank range... don't gren.
2. Top of sight = closest range
3. Bunny hop to get best splash effect (Just like the old Quake2 days)
4. Aim for their ankles... not their head or chest
5. Shoot your gren and immediately switch to your rifle. It should be automatic regardless of the situation.

To avoid someone shooting a newb launcher at you:

1. Run at them
2. Jump and hit the prone button at the apex of your jump... repeat until he shoots at you.
3. If you survive the first shot at you... sprint/whatever and chase him down because he's a newb and you can kill him easy without his tube loaded.
4. OPTIONAL: Shoot your newb launcher before he does.

Get a vechile and vechile rape his ass.

Kill him from a distance.
Aiming is your friend.

Grenade spam his ass if you were killed by him already.

Is the M203 a aka Noob weapon?? Nope, just their is a real life arming time for the HEDP rounds. It has to rotate 7 or eight times to become armed. Also BF2's sighting for the Noob launcher is wack. I have to wing it when I do use it.

A grenade launcher is a tool to be used in certain situations aka masses of troops or if your pinned down or even an APC. But yea to run around with it constantly is kind of silly.

On a side note they need to find a way to eliminate the lame noob bunny hopping nonsense. I have been a soldier for 17yrs and in four combat zones have never had anyone hop up and down like some punk bitch rabbit as I shot at them.

The gren launcher is dead on if you use the sight... the top of the site is for close range and it is accurate if you use it that way.

Also, BF2 is not a combat simulator and so jumping as well as tons of other stuff is not going to be realistic. For a more simulator'ish experience check out games where jumping is totally disallowed like the Rainbow Six series.

You can't drive a tank, shoot the main gun, and reload it with just one person... I could list a dozen other things off the top of my head that aren't even close to reality but that would throw this off topic.

You haven't seen Platoon? Remember Bunny was shooting at the guy while he was in the hut. That dude was bunny hopping all over the place before he got his face smashed in. :D

I'm now going to put in my 2 cents on this topic. The M203 is a standard piece of military hardware and it is in this game for that reason. Some of you may not like the idea that people use it as a primary weapon but it's no different than useing the WHOREHAWK as your crutch for points. I'm not the best at this game maybe even abit below average and I'll use anyting I can find to help my score just like the rest of you. I just started using the M203 and it's nothing more to cry about than a guy who lives in a BlackHawk or does nothing more than make bombing runs on enemy spawns. As for bunnyhopping we've all done it at least once to live some are better than others ( God knows I suck at it) which is why people get mad cause that person that is good at it kills them. Everyone in this game will take full advantage of what they are good at to win, that's the name of the game. If you want reality enlist and go to war, I hear the military is having problems meeting their qoutas.
