Just downloaded the trial for this game. Really fun game where you're in a "trench" aka mech with guns. You put down turrets to defend against waves of mechanical bugs. Collecting their scraps allows you to upgrade your turrets. While all this is going on, you're the mech fighting the invaders. It's a mix of tower defense game play with 3rd person shooter game play.

In addition, there's 2-4 player online co-op. The game is only $15 from Xbox Live. Anyone interested?

I bought the full game and so far I like it. Single player is hectic on higher levels as you try to manage your emplacements and ward off enemies.

After battles, you get loots in forms of weapons and stuff. There is also a shop where you can buy/sell weapons.

Mech customization is available for changing out your core from Engineering core to Standard or to Assault core. Each gives you different number of weapon slots ala Mechwarrior, and emplacement slots. You can also swap out the legs from fast sprint legs to quick reload legs where you deploy your legs to enable quick reload but giving up movement temporarily.

Enemies come I have various types and sizes. Each is vulnerable to certain type of weapon. I love the heavy artillery cannon. I have one of those on my right arm and a trio of heavy auto-cannons on my left. I tear thru incoming enemies like paper.

Online co-op is fairly laggy, sometimes to the point if unplayable. Rumor has it there's a patch coming out soon to address the lag issues.

For $15, this game is a winner, even with the lag.

I was watching a gameplay video of it and it looked like fun. I may have to get this one.

I purchased the full game and played some last night to try and learn the game a bit. It is pretty fun. It's pretty much just keep blasting away with no worries of running out of ammo. I was going to invite you to co-op Crotch but you logged off 2 minutes before I went to send the request, Let me know if you want to co-op if you see me on.

LOL! I saw you were in training so I went to grab some dinner. When I came back, you were already gone. Maybe tonite? Drop me an invite when you see me on. I need some help with a battle in the Pacific. There are too many bugs in the sky for me to take down and protect the villages at the same time. We can plan out the type of mechs to use together. There are some pretty sweet upgrades and turrets in the second/third campaign.

I will probably be on tonight Crotch. I wonder if I need to level up to play at the level you are to play with you.

I don't know. I think you run with the equipment you have at your level. Or when I join your game, I run with the equipment I have at my level. Let's give it a shot!

That was a blast co-oping with you last nite Knot! I'm glad that the game scales up the enemies when there are more players. I've played in 4-player co-op and I feel that 2 is perfect. 3 is easier and 4 is just way too easy.

I'm hoping to play some more this weekend, mixed in with some WoT.
