I've been looking forward to this one for a LONG time.. Like since Aliens came out back in the day. All I had then was some shitty game on an Apple 2. I was starting to think this one would get axed since I havent heard anything about it for almost a year.

I want Drake and Vasquez on smart guns just tearing ass.

I love the Alien/Aliens movies, well at least the first two. I have been extremely interested in the lore/back-story of the movies, and have read most of the books and many of the comic books. I love the Steve and Stefani Perry trilogy of books, and have re-read them several times (great to pickup if you're interested).

I hope this gets a good treatment. What I consider the "canon" universe for Aliens (exclude most of movies 3 and 4, as well as some awful awful books) is extremely rich, gritty, and full of some awesome elements at every level from infantry tactics to space battles. Then you throw in the Aliens themselves, and the space jockey race, and you're just like "WTF?!?!" Anyway, I miss the subject matter getting a good serious look (i.e. Dark Knight vs. George Clooney Batman) and really look forward to giving this a try!

Kotaku has a little write up on Aliens. It's really looking like the dream I had back when I was about 10 is about to come to life. I'll get to be a Colonial Marine!

I don't mind delays in games I want to play. Rather see it released late and complete than on time and bug filled crap.
