suggestion for squads in game

Yesterday I was playing. ok u guys know the blackhawk can hold up to 6 people. there is 6 people in a squad. Alright, this squad consists of 1supply, 2engineers, 1 medic, 1 spec ops, and 1 artillary. then the pilot has to be a very good flier otherwise it won't work. then just take flags. if those flags get taken again go back and take them again. In the meanwhile with all the different people in chopper will be fixing or resuppling. and medic everyone to. I got 2 bronz stars yesterday by doin this. I have never gotten close to a star but I did. lol. Try it everyone it works. if anyone has any questions ask. :0trampoline:

Yeah this tatic has been used alot lately. I started doing this with some regulars back in the demo and it was great fun for a while. Then people started complaining and crying that it wasn't fair. Even though players have gotten MANY times better at defending against BH squads and it isn't as easy as people think, they still complain about it. I started to look through some old BH posts like WiHadmin said to find a link and there are TOO many posts about BH's to find the 1 he refered to.

So in response to your original post, yes, we have done that, and there are even better squad setups for BH, but I have the feeling that it will come to an end shortly.

Bit burnt out on whore hawking as well. Assault chopper with 2 decent people > whore hawk, probably is getting those 2 decent people in the assault chopper ;). Was a great tactic the first 2-3 weeks of the game, it was unique and not many people were doing it. However now everyone does this tactic, and it has made people alot better at defending against it as well.

The biggest thing I dont like about it, too many people spend their time trying to control / get the spawn to whore hawk, then actually helping the team.

That's a good point. You can tell who the new players are bc they're the one spamming, "Let's get a Blackhawk squad started!!!" over and over in in-game text chat. Most of the veterans have played enough in the WH and found out that it's kinda boring after a while.

Just thought about it, I actually started this is BFV. with the BTR i would have everyone in TS play an engineer and jump in the BTR and just ride around running people over, with a gunner on top, and everyone else repairing.

Yeah alot of people did it in BFV as well, but it was no where as near as effective.

Heck I loved some of the retarded stuff you could do in BFV, like have a friend sit ontop of the cobra while you fly and shoot people. Or setup a motor inside the transport chopper and fire out.

BFV - experimentation lead to BH whoring :) in alot of small ways. If the game lets you do it, it will be done. The real ... solution would just be to make it so engineers can't repair the BH in the air, then it would not be overpowering on maps like Song Stalemate. Honestly though I dont think that BH is that bad, on most maps its not too bad to take down. As I said earlier I just hate when 3 groups fight for one chopper, making 7-10 people useless on your team as the camp the pad.

I NEVER said don't do that. I said, I still occasionally jump in 1. If you like doing it DO IT, it's a game, have fun.

I agree. It lost its interest for me a while ago, but occasionally I like to be a medic and hop on a Blackhawk gun. Just seeing the bullet splashes rip across the ground and into the body of my enemy sending him sprawling is enough to bring a smile to my face most days :D

I had refrained from doing this until recently. I usually play MEC/China and the POS chopper they have isn't as good as the Whorehawk. There is no substitute for the miniguns.

That said, there is nothing like sending a lead message to the head every once in a while. You don't really aim the gun, more of point and shoot.

I think the mini-gun on the BH in DC is better bc it actually took some real aiming to kill infantry on the ground. The mini-gun on the BF2 WH is just unreal. I don't even have to aim. Just spray in the general direction and you get kills.

they should either remove the splash from the BH, or add splash to the MEC guppy

IN regards to the BH, the guns are what they are.

It would be unfair to all the new players if they changed the guns now, the fact being they would be denied the oppertunity to rack up kills at the same rate as the older players did.

It seems like adjustments are being made to defend this. FAVs and AT rockets are sticking around flags more.

Still, I just love it when bodies come crashing down.

It only takes two vechile mgs or stationary mgs to bring that stupid BH down.
That or have everyone 203 the insides of the heli.

I end up finishing it off all the time :D
