Vacation

So tomorrow night I'm off to the beach with 900,000 family members. So, I won't be around again until the 14th of August. I'm taking a laptop (us security guys get no rest) but it can't play BF2.

Expect me to be cranky when I get back.

A vacation isn't a vacation if you're bringing your laptop. When I was IT/MIS Director at my last company, there was 1 week a year that I would not be available for any reason. They knew that and it was part of my contract. The other 2 weeks I took for "vacation" I would have some sort of connectivity (laptop, blackberry, etc).

We aren't Irish-Catholic it just so happens we are going with extended family. I'd like it better by myself but oh well.

We had a "restructuring" at work last year and they never hired a backup for me so I still have to check on stuff. But not like usual.

thats why i go out of the country on vacation, no cell phone no laptop sorry can't take calls or get emails!

That means nothing...I'm Irish and I don't ahve that many family members....
