I'm 15 miles down wind of Lake Michigan in Michigan. We get all sorts of weather extremes except major hurricanes.

I am at a balmy 15 and might get to see above 40 this weekend. I have only seen 40 once since the end of November and only above 30 a hand full of times.

South West Florida is bracing itself to be "hammered" by up to 1/4" of rain, temperatures plummeting into the mid-70's and breezy conditions of 10 - 15 mph, as the massive storm covering most of the US moves through during the next two days. Emergency units have not been called yet, but extra life guards have been assigned to the coastal areas, to handle the heavy influx of refugees from the north. Cheers!

San Diego is looking pretty nice, though I'll be in South Carolina for all of the month starting Saturday....

Winter Storms are interesting enough to deal with. But now the National Weather Service is telling us to expect 0.50" - 1.00" of accumulating freezing rain. Keeping my fingers crossed no trees fall on my house, or we don't loose power for to long of a time.

Yeah, snow (even a lot) is one thing but ice just sucks if it's to much.

Almost a half inch of ice accumulation where I'm at. Just south of me, some places hit over 0.75". Something like 100,000 with out power in Michigan, and it may not come back on until Friday. Plus we're looking at the potential of another major storm Thursday night into Friday. I'm a volunteer for SkyWarn and Coop observer for the National Weather Service. Been pretty interesting lately, and looks like it may stay that way a while. We have a weather pattern in place, that if it holds. We'll be talking about some nasty severe storms by the end of March. A pattern not seen since the 70's.
