I may be crazy but I could swear I shot down an anti tank round with my assualt rifle. I was in the back of a hummer (so looking out the back) when a guy hopped out from behind a corner we had just passed and shot an anti tank round at us. It was on a strait line right for us and it was dead center on my screen. I went to hit b telling the driver to turn hard when I kind of just shot out of reflex. My crosshiars were dead center on the round and it appeared to blow up just before hitting us. I looked down and the hummer was ok, no dmg., but I had only like 1/3 of my health left.
I am not suggesting this would be a way to defend against anti tank rounds. It was freakish luck if this is indeed what happened, anyone else had anything like this happen?

I was sorta wondering this myself, I once had a tank shoot one of the air missiles at me in my tank. I was firing at him with my big boomy automatic gun thing (lol) in my tank. And he exploded and the rocket did as well. I don't know if it was because I killed him that the rocket stopped, or if I shot the rocket as well, or if it just hit something I couldnt see.

It's possible that you can shoot them out of flight. Back in BFV:POE, they made it so that you can shoot down PGM with a tank shell or from a tunguska. But I have not seen a small caliber bullet being able to take down a rocket before.

I have been thinking this one over (yes I have nothing better to think about I guess). A good physics engine may produce unexpected results sometimes. I mean my bullet does have mass and velocity right? Maybe it was freakish luck with a dead center shot, a shot that produced enouph of an impact (virtual impact offcourse) to detonate the anti tank round.
I will stop thinking now...... :jerkit:
