I think it's a fantastic single player experience. The set piece missions are extremely detailed and exciting.

The only downside for me is the lack of things to do other than the story mission as well as the amount of driving from point A to point B.

Overall though, fantastic game.

I picked up Mafia II as well. I'm having a good time with it. Isnt quite Red Dead but it's fun. I'm really liking the tunes on the radio. They add a lot to the atmosphere.

Mafia 2 seems a bit linear to me im on chapter 3 and still can't just go and sandbox crap

I liked the car damage model. The scenery was nice. The oldschool playmates in high res were nice. I liked most of the story. However, I didnt care for the ending much.

It's a great game so far, although there is definitely too much driving.
It's loaded with atmosphere, too.

Grim, it's not a sandbox game... it's a linear, story-driven shooter with a city as a backdrop.
Still, it could have used some more playable content.
