What kind can you guys drive, if you can drive a manual and not an automatic man that's messed up :D . anyhow I can drive both!

Voted manual only.

Automatics don't shift gears smoothly enough IMO especially when you get on it.

I have only ever driven manuals but I assume i could manage an automatic without too much difficulty.I live in the UK and hardly anyone here drives automatics.I cant remember ever meeting someone who drove one.

I have 4 cars, 2 auto and 2 manual. I thought the poll was asking what we liked to drive so I put manual. When I get in an auto car I spend abotu 20 sec looking for the damn clutch just to realize it isnt there. I also keep slamming the brake with my left foot all the time.

um... who cant drive an automatic? :crazy: ? and stick is way better than automatic... it is a known fact that boys can run faster than girls BECAUSE, boys have Ball bearings and stick shift :jester:

Manual is a hell of a lot more fun to drive, but nothing beats an automatic during rush hour!

You can train a monkey to drive an automatic... So yes. :)

I had a problem (just once mind you) though where there was this time I was driving a rental automatic and I hit the brake thinking it was the clutch. That means of course I tried to press the brake all the way to the floor... and quickly at that. That sucked.

I can drive both... manual certainly lets you do more stuff if you know how to use it. My car's automatic, but I can still torture the transmission by shifting manually. :thumbsup:

agreed the Clutch on my cobra is so hard to push if i am in a heavy stop and go rush hour my leg is aching by the time i get home. i prefer a manual tranny but it is nice when you can take it easy in rush hour and not have to work the gears.

Yeah the clutch on my Jeep is pretty hard too... i avoid busy roads at all costs (i guess gas : P)
