ok, i know wih has a low tolerance for killing hostages, but what i dont seem to know is what the requirments to get kicked are for killing them.
i was on the other night and as usual some people killed hostages as a means to win the round...*cough*fozzybear...so i was feeling a bit blood thirsty at the beginning of a map of office whilst i was on the t side and decided to kill one as a way to show the cts we meant business and it instanty kicked me. so i think to myself "well that was annoying but maybe itwas because i killed them at the beginning of a round or perhaps because i killed him in one blow that it kicked me, but then, during the same night i was on havana as a t and the cts were trying to rescue the hostages. (mid-way to near the end of the round) so i turned a corner and shot at the ct, accidentally killing a hostage and it kicked me again. i dont think it was because i was near the hostage holding area because on office people will kill the hostages in the projector room when the ts have it well fortified.
so i guess my question is why am i getting kicked for killing one hostage when i have killed numerous hostages in one round before and continue to see others killing them with out being punished. has the server had a grudge against me ever since it banned me for "changing my name too many times" or am i just the unlucky soul who kills them under the wrong circumstances? :wallbash:
I think ct's can kill as many hostages as they want.As a t I've only ever been kicked for killing them at the start of a round.I assume that the time limit for not killing hosties will be the same as for the auto-slap thing.
yeah i sometimes get angry too when i am guarding the last hosty and the ct come and kill it to win the round
i think whoever that did that should get kicked too
=(

Just to be clear, I haven't killed any hosties on purpose RECENTLY. :D
I have, and never will (unless directed to by WIHADMIN) , kicked ANYONE for killing the hosties. I think the server is set up to auto-kick any T's who kill the hosties at the beginning of the round, because the purpose of the map is to rescue the hosties.
The object of the game is to get at least 1 hostie out. While it may be frowned upon in league play to kill the hosties in order to win the round, I don't see a problem killing the last stupid hostie that got stuck in the window/on a can/or just stopped to ponder the meaning of life. I see it as a last resort tactic if we already have some of the hosties. And it is just as fair as every other tactic. ie: camping, flanking, head-long rush, flash, smoke, shottie whoring, para whoring, p-90 whoring :yaya:
I'll make a deal with you. EVERYONE stop stacking the teams on a regular basis *cough* you know who you are *cough* , and I will personally stop killing the hostie. (I will keep using them as Meat Shields though)
I know several of you will disagree, and several others will agree. So post your opinions. :yuck:

Ah, yes.
I am constantly getting booted for hostie killing.
Scene: I'm last person on Terrorist team. A CT has the hosties and is running down the hall in Office. I come up behind him, AK at ready, and fire away. In the process of attacking the CT, I kill a few hosties and I'm booted before I can kill the CT. So, the round ends, my team loses, and I'm forced to rejoin. :wallbash:
This has happened more times than I can remember, and is extremely frustrating and unfair.
Scene: I'm last person on Terrorist team. (Map: Italy) A CT took 3 of the hosties to safety, but one remains in the house, unable to jump out the window or off the balcony. So, I camp the hostage until the CT returns for him. However, the CT simply snipes the hostage to death from the end of the long hall. So, the round ends, my team loses, and I'm pissed off. :wallbash:
This happens more times than the former, and is just as unfair. Aren't CT's supposed to rescue the hostages? Not kill any leftovers?
Well, I am pretty sure you can get kicked for killing to many hosties as a CT (past expirence). I have a different view of the hostie killing, If I rescue the hostage once and he gets stuck on a peice of glass and I have to risk my life going after him again screw him Ill shoot him as soon as I can, or if im the last one left and I have 2 of the hosties I will kill the other 2 as I make a run for the rescue point, Ive never been told or seen posted that I cannot do this so if I am in the wrong I am. Its just the hosties are so freaking stupid killing them is the best way.

yall got me all wrong, i WANT to be able to kill them, i just want to know the server rules concerning being kicked for killing them so that i may avoid being kicked and still be able to kill the hostages when needed...whether to win the round or for stress relife. :ak: :? <--- hostage

I think it's just applies to T's to keep noobs from joining the server and immediately killing the hosties cuz they're asshats. Which is the way it should be IMO.

but on the reverse side, if a CT has the hosties and is running any T is going to hit/kill them trying to hit the CT and get instakicked.

I'll check the server settings to see how the admin plug-in is handling this issue.

IMO killing hostages is a valid tactic for winning the round for either side.
T: kill hostage running away.
CT: kill remaining hostages after a successful rescue.
i think CTs killing hosties is a great way to turn the strategy mid-game post-rescue. all of a sudden the Ts have to Protect the hosties no matter what. the only problem is that the Ts cant move the hosties to a more protected area of the map.

That would be awesome if you as a T could talk to them just like ct's do and they would follow you. You go up press "E" and the hostie says something like "Okay just don't kill me!" Now if we could just get Valve do something about it...

I thought the insta-kick was right at spawn, at the beginning of the round.
I've seen T's kill/wound hosties as we are running away with them, and nothing happens.
I like the rule of not killing the hosties at the beginning of the round, because otherwise it is just a free for all. With no objective for the map.
Have to wait and see what WIHADMIN says about the settings.

Killing hostages by CT's is crap. This would never happen in real life.
CT: " Okay you for hosties ready to get out of here? Duck....Duck...Duck.....GOOSE!" BLAMO!
I could only get three of you out of here. You know, for the win."

Tell that to the Russians who were gassed by their own government.
Incidentally, Putin declared the storming of the theatre a success (i.e. a win).

Russian's have always been known to be rough. There was an incident I think where there was gunshot hosties!
Lol, back in the office 24/7s we'd joke about going Russian CT when we'd rush in the projector room shooting anything and everything -- hosties included.
