IRC server

Ok for CAL we need an IRC channel could I get some help setting up a server? I can set it up I just need to know how.

Do you mean you want to host an entire server or start a channel on a pre-existing IRC server?

There are a tone of IRC servers out there that you can use for free, but starting your own server would probably cost some money and would not be necessary for what I think you want.

Google "counter-strike irc servers" or something like that...

Why do they require a irc server? That doesn't make much sense. The big IRC servers are completely secure and you can put all kinds of locks and invite lists in.

i dont know but i had to put in a fake irc channel before it would let me register a team
