I have only watched the first episode, but it was very well done.

I just got HBO free for 3-month trial from my local cable provider. Do you know if they are showing reruns of the already shown episodes?

Yeah you should be able to find the already shown episodes playing through the week. Or if you have an on-demand you can find them on there.
I like it, my only thing about it is that there are so many characters that are spread out in different units that it can be tough to know who you are following. In the last two episodes they have been following the same character so it has gotten a little better. I also wish during the battles I could see what was going on, so far they have all been at night and really dark and the only light you get usually comes from the muzzle flashes of a machine gun.

Oh cool, I checked my cable provider and it said I have HBO On-Demand. Looks like I can catch up with the first 3 or 4 episodes. sweet!!!

I'm watching it. Pretty good.
I agree that the night battles are difficult to see. I just finished the 2nd and third episode last night.
I really like the part when they have the vets of the beginning of the show that give their state of mind and what there expectations were at the time.
Good show. I am also looking forward to the start of Treme this week.

we have been watching it and enjoying it, we were also in borders the otherweek and found a display with all the books the series was based on... actually looked quite interesting.

Its no Band of Brothers. When the Marines are loading into landing craft that didn't exist I got a little annoyed, but then there was a amtrack stuck in the water that the Marines also didn't use yet. Some of the weapons are the wrong models. I don't think it is written or the acting is as good as Band of Brothers.

I still think it's a pretty good series that I am enjoying quite a bit. While it's not "Band of Brothers" it's shares a lot of that feel and the characters being based off actual people is kind of cool. I really like the actual interviews they show with the guys who are being portrayed and also the website for the show is cool. You can follow the troop movements and the battles on a map level which gives you more detail on what is going on per chapter.
