Where did everyone go?

All WIH servers empty?

Did the new patch kill the game? The servers used to be full all the time I can't believe that there were that many people on these servers using hacks that they all got banned by punk buster now that it is working.

Just wondering what happened and where everyone went you all can't be playing the starcraft 2 beta either.

I think I found out why the servers are empty, if this is true.

I am not sure if DICE is aware of this, i would hope that they are. Anyway we have been testing this for a fair few nights now.

This must be related to one of two things, either the play now button does not utilise "Pb server selection on" when using play now.

Or that the filter settings are not working as expected.

So, we have always streamed our servers to pbbans, but when we have PB on we get NO traffic on the server barring regular players who have added the server to favourites.

However if we turn PB off, then the server will be completely rammed once a minimum number of players jump onto the server.

This really needs adressing, it is forcing us server admins etc, to run servers with PB off, im sure that is not what DICE and the community in general want.

If your aware of this, when is a fix expected to be released?

4. goto server settings and select PB off

that's it, don't restart the server, go into game and look at your server status, its now showing as off but is in actual fact on.

2. add punkBuster.pb_sv_command pb_sv_restart to pbsv.cfg
3. restart server
4. Wait 30 seconds after restart for the pb task to run and change status

I was reading this today. I find it most interesting that if you have PB selected in the server browser, it shows you servers with PB OFF...wtf?!

Sweet.... this is exactly what I did, and both our servers are showing up in general search! Actually, I omitted steps 1 and 2..... since PB is already on, and no need to restart server.
