View Full Version : Processor issue, won't be around much
My processor is at the low requirements for the game and it is really struggling with BFBC2. I am holding off on an upgrade for a bit b/c I have a 2nd little on on the way in May.
I am going to tweak what I can this weekend and hope to get some better performance.

I am curious as to your PC specs.
I will try to get them posted here tomorrow.
PU TYPE: INTEL(R) PENTIUM(R) D CPU 2.80GHZCPU SPEED (GHZ):2.819SYSTEM MEMORY (GB):2.995
GRAPHICS CARD MODEL:ATI RADEON HD 4800 SERIES - it is a 4850
Ram : 4 gigs (although when I run dxdiag it only shows 3068 mb of Ram)
Windows Vista Home Premium
(I run a two monitor set up so I am going to try the game with just one monitor and see how that works.)

You have good enough video card.
Your ram reading is because your running 4 gig on a 32bit OS, not a problem don't worry about it. The only solution (may not be practical for you) to see all the ram is to change to 64bit OS.
You choke point is the CPU.
I have a buddy in Florida running the same CPU and similar rest of the setup.
Did you try the setting I posted above?
That will be your limit till you upgrade.
Depending on which motherboard you have, upgrading the cpu first would be the choice.
Of course any time your considering an upgrade you have to look at the whole picture.

Thanks for looking at my set up. I am going to try those setting tonight and see what happens. I am thinking of upgrading case, motherboard, and processor, but won't get that done for a few months.
