cheated out of gold star

lol i was just playing BF2 on our server (which i rarely do, but i like to change things up from CS:S sometimes) and i was doing pretty good, i was at the top of my side (really really tight with dave though). Then the map ended and i listened to the sweet noise of victory waiting to see that gold star pop up on me. then the sound cut out... i thought maybe it crashed. And that would be ok for me cause i was gonna quit soon anyway and id still have my gold star and everything. But then i saw the "You have been kicked by Punkbuster blah blah blah" and i was just kinda like "wtf?" (yes i actually say W-T-F?) then im just bah i wonder what that was for, oh well lets go see that first gold medal ive ever gotten at WiH.... then its not there on my BFHQ... PUNKBUSTER STOLE MY GOLD STAR!!! RaWr!!! lol well that kinda sucked, just thought id share it with you all... :dunno:

This was before WiH had a ranked server. Now, you guys know that although I'm lots better at BF2 than CSS, I'm still not the hottest shizzle ever. But on most random other servers, I'm like some kind of BF2 God. It's pretty crazy.

I'll watch the same three idiots hop in the SAME boat THREE times and each time I'll rocket them out of the water. I feel like some kind of MIT grad with a gun.

So if it's that important to you to get the gold star, just go somewhere where teamplay and being cool aren't important, and your regular skills will suddenly become MAD SKILZ.

heh... one time I was playing on some server, and I was listed as #1 until the end of the match. As soon as the tickets ran out, I was expecting the gold star to show up.. when all of a sudden I see a #2 listed on my name for some reason. It turns out that the stupid commander of my team had somehow stolen my gold star through the whole commander points thing. I was pissed.. but at least I got the silver star :tongue:

It used to be a breeze for me to get gold stars when our server first came up. These last two weeks...............well its not so easy anymore. I think its a testement to the fact that competion is getting pretty fierce on war is hell. For a while there, the Blackhawk gang was soaking up the medals but now EVEN they are struggling. Seen a blackhawk come hovering over a flag lately? Its like pre-dawn D-Day with all the flack that goes up at them. Anyone that can spit at a blackhawk is doing so. The only time I medal these days is rolling around in my trusty tank, and even then, only if I've got the groove with me. The groove is nessecary to medal.
