Well it's 'started'..
Steam servers are too busy to handle your request.. There is a big surprise.

Those asses get the Rex Grossman award for dropping the ball on this.

**It's downloading. Pretty good speed for my connection anyway. I'm sure all the FIOS peeps are pissed though. Anyway, I'm off to work. With some luck, I'll see you guys tonight

after spamming the steam servers for 10 mins i got a download slot

hopefully it will finish by the time i leave work ( it is much quicker dumping the cache from my laptop to my PC then it is downloading at 50mb at home.... and work has an OC3 i can saturate :D )

One thing I hate about steam is that stupid servers too busy to handle your request bullshit. I understand that there might be a lot of people downloading the game right now, but when this happens for every big release you would think they would do something about it.

That's weird that you guys that pre-ordered thru STeam is getting the "too busy" while sir_dig just bought it now and is able to download it...

that coz i exude awesomeness :D

actually have no clue but i was hitting thr DL like every 10 secs till it gave up and gave me a slot!

upto 69% now... looking good for punch out time!

Delete your clientregistry.blob in your steam folder. This forces steam to update and you should be able to download the game without problems.

ok got the game it is installed on both machines... can't find the server..hurry before i get too drunk!

Hoping the release version plays better than the beta for me.....

I will start it tonight, but won't get to try it out till later. :(

It will Foz. The release version is definitely more optimized than the beta in terms of performance.
