This is to inform the community of our strategic and tactical direction of games supported.

STRATEGY
To focus on quality teamwork oriented First Person Shooter games. To provide support for current and future FPS games by hosting them on quality servers.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 & Battlefield 1943 will be major releases for us. These games are very exciting for the community. We will have dedicated ranked servers running the day they are released!

TACTICAL
We currently support the following games. (Many members play other types of games too but these are our core games).

• Battlefield Series
• Call of Duty Series
• Counter Strike Source
• Various mods of the above games

|WiH| Tag
The |WiH| Tag is in pilot. We do hope to make it a permanent fixture here at WiH, but it is up to you the community to see it succeed.


[WiH] Tag Pilot Project

As a test project the Owners of War is Hell Gaming Community want to permit members the privilege of wearing the [WiH] tag should they choose to do so. Those who are eligible to wear the [WiH] tag will be allowed to use it not only on our servers, but any servers and forums you frequent. If we see that people are not upholding the values and concepts of War is Hell Gaming the project will be terminated.

Should an individual recipient violate any of the WiH Mission Statement & Code of Conduct (http://www.warishellgaming.com/index.php?page=about) values, the tag will be immediately revoked and that individual's further use of the tag will be a bannable offense from our forums and servers.

If you meet the minimum eligibility requirements and follow the rules you can start wearing the tag immediately.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Minimum of 2 months as an active member of War is Hell Gaming forums
Minimum of 100 posts on War is Hell Gaming forums
Frequent player on WiH servers
Uphold the values expressed in the WiH Mission Statement & Code of Conduct (http://www.warishellgaming.com/index.php?page=about)
Follow the WiH Tag Rules



WiH Tag Rules

Use the letters WiH. Not WIH or wih, etc.
You can enclose it with square brackets [WiH]
You can include it with your clan tag e.g. [WiH][W33T]or[WiH-W33T]or(FR-WiH)or[WiH](FR) etc. Basically, we'll let you know if it's inappropriate and advise you on how to display it.
Continuously uphold the values expressed in the WiH Mission Statement & Code of Conduct (http://www.warishellgaming.com/index.php?page=about) on any groups servers at all times.
If we find that you have acted dishonorably on our game servers or other groups game servers you will lose the privilege of wearing the tag.
If we find that you have acted dishonorably on our forums or other forums or any other method of expression you will lose the privilege of wearing the tag.

WiH Forum Skin and Forum Titles


Part of our site overhaul is a new War is Hell Gaming specific skin for the forums. It has been painstakingly developed by Filthy_Sniper, Drayu, and Snake along with contributions from JimmytehHand8 and other members. This new skin will become the War is Hell Gaming default skin! The default skin will be the only skin choice for several weeks while the other skins are taken down and updated to work on our new VBulletin upgrade. I hope to have up the other skins as soon as possible because I know some of you like a choice :)

Also, We have renamed our forums categories and sub-categories to have a more military theme to go with our skin.

All these changes will not have an impact on site performance or how the site operates. Regardless of the skin and forum names all current users will have the same level of use/permissions as before.

New TeamSpeak 3 Server

Starting today TeamSpeak 3 will be our new TeamSpeak client. The current TeamSpeak client will be available through 03/12/2010 when we will shut it down permanently. TeamSpeak 3 offers many improvements over TS2 and we encourage you to get on as soon as possible.

The download for TeamSpeak 3 is at www.teamspeak.com

As part of our site overhaul we have also developed a skin for TeamSpeak 3 that is War is Hell Gaming oriented. Once in TeamSpeak, go to "The File Room" for the download and install instructions.

TeamSpeak 3 has a new permission system and therefore as a guest you will not have any privileges outside of changing channels and talking. If you are a site regular, look for an Admin or Server Admin to elevate your permissions to Registered.

Clan Support

War is Hell Gaming is dedicated to providing a mature gaming experience for all players. While we emphasize community as one of our goals, we also encourage the development of clans that are close knit and work together. If you have a clan, or are planning on starting one, WiH would like to support your clan with the following:

Clan setup:


WiH will help you develop a clan
WiH will offer you advice if needed on development of everything from rules to participation

No charge/quarter (4 quarters a year)


Forum space (Private, only accessible by you and those you allow)


$5/quarter (4 quarters a year)

You will be able to edit your Clan forum graphics/vbulletin style to match your clan. WiH banner and references will remain in your skin.

We will support you to the best of our ability in doing this, but we can not develop graphics for you. (also, any skin you develop for your clan may be usable by any member of the community)

WiH will support your needs with our dedicated Clan server
The server must be reserved and be available at the time you are requesting
Adequate notice must be given to ensure all settings are in place.

Clan members will be admins on the server when you are using it
You must follow all WiH rules!
Server will be the vanilla options of the game with limited modifications




$10/quarter (4 quarters a year)

Any additional server charges beyond our current cost will be your clans responsibility
Server will be yours to admin and run according to WiH rules set ahead of time with any modifications to those rules agreed to by both parties.
Server MUST have WiH in it's title and in its scrolling server messages

War is Hell Gaming retains the right to end any clan or server at the end of any quarter. Any misconduct or misuse of War is Hell Gaming name and servers will result in immediate revoking of all clan rights and privileges on WiH and its servers.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Servers



Battlefield Bad Company 2 has finally arrived and here at War is Hell Gaming so have BFBC2 Servers! With great pride and anticipation we bring to you not one, but TWO BFBC2 servers to enjoy!

One server is based out of Dallas and the other Chicago. Both servers are 32 players servers.

Let's bring back the great games and people we had with Battlefield 2! See you on the battlefield and at the end of my barrel!!!
