So, I open up BF2 for a game because i'm bored.

I click on my BFHQ and am checking around, everything is cool. I notice that.. ALL MY WEAPONS ARE UNLOCKED. So, I join a server and ALL MY WEAPONS ARE UNLOCKED. So, I go ahead and am using them.

I don't know why, or how this happened. I only have 5k points, and only unlocked the PKM. So, I will try my hardest not to close out of BF2 and keep my weapons unlocked. No need to expiriment. Might as well keep that while I have them.

I'm seeing reports of this as well. EA or Gamespy screwed something on their side that allowed unlocks for everyone.

Yup, just went on a server and found out myself how horrible the M95 is...

People have been reporting this "bug/feature" since yesterday.

Now is a good time to try out the different unlocks!

Dinky. You don't have to worry about this as you can't use any weapons when you're flying anyways. :D

Dinky. You don't have to worry about this as you can't use any weapons when you're flying anyways. :D

That is awesome. I guess they should become more responsible to
consumer complaints.

EDIT: Awesome, I'm unlocked. Worst case scenario is that I get to choose a new weapon... stupid support weapon is getting tossed.

you know what will suck is that they lock everything back up including the ones you officiallly unlocked.

The EA guy posted stating that they would give you the correct number of unlocks which you can respend. They are working to rollback the master servers... although it won't do them much good if they don't know how they got in to begin with.

I'm sure they have figured out the entry path...you would have to be pretty dense not to...

The worst case is they roll back the stats server from back up which means your points for the last few days you can kiss good bye...

I hope they just relock everyone and then assuming you have the points...let you unlock again...

I'm sure unlocks wasen't the only thing messed with...som 15 year old medal whore just had to give himself 20k in points and all the medals too...

Sorry but I have lost all faith in EA/DICE to fix problems... or even address problems like a professional publisher/developer should do. They released BF2 like high school amateurs... Fixing this problem and preventing it from happening again might well be beyond their abilities.

I agree with Kossori 100% though the absolute best case scenario (that will never happen!) is that they leave them unlocked... and then unlock everyone else too. This score/rank system promote bad gaming atmosphere all around.

Supposedly, EA took the account servers down last nite for several hours to fix this issue. They had said that no stats will be lost. If you had rightfully earn an unlock during the time that all weapons were unlocked, you will get to reselect your unlock.

They definatly took the account servers offline for a little bit last night. I was unable to log in for a little bit. I didn't notice any complaints about it in the WiH forums, but I did see a lot of unhappy people on the EA's UK forums.

So, are we going to start all over with a new unlock to get? Or start over from 0? I have read about this in several places and have seen it both ways. :dunno:

NO the select few will get to re-choose their unlocks while we are stuck with what we have. I wish i'd made a better choice the 1st time. but my account wasn't affected so i'm stuck with what i had.

I've thought of starting a new account just do i can get a new choice.

I was effected, but I think I chose my unlock before it happened. I hope they still let me rechoose though. Im throwing away my sniper rifle and grabbing a medic sniper rifle. :thumbsup:

I think Ea is still jacking around with their account servers. Most people can't log into any servers right now. This is why you're seeing low player counts on most servers.

well after letting the log in screen sit for about 15mins, I got in. Unfortunately, my unlock and rank is gone! :(

Last night I had everything and a high rank also. Today I have nothing and no rank. EA needs to just take awy the whole rank system cus it sucks.

That is the report I'm seeing. My guess is that this is some temporary server, but it's so overloaded that it takes you 15 minuts to get in.

COuld this problem be linked to the account server logon not coming up? Been trying to logon for a few and cannot. Maybe they are doing the fix right now. 3:13pm Central Time

I logged in, after letting the screen sit for 15 minutes. I then proceeded directly to the BFHQ, and saw that.. to my surpirse, all my stats had vanished. I lost all my knife kills, all my combat scores, team work, online time, medal, badges, ribbons, unlock.. I lost all of it. Perhaps it's just temporarily down. If not, then this will frustrate me, yet almost make me happy I can start fresh. (As I did not like the PKM as much as I thought I did) now, if all stats reset, only 1k till my "first" unlock. I am still debating after trying some weapons out if I should get the G3, or L85A1.
