Pure Noob Pwnage {PNP} starting up

prowler and i have been toying around with the idea of starting a clan. it will be just an informal one for now (no league play) until all members learn to play well with each other and know each other a little better. the name isn't permanent, but we felt it apptly describes what we are trying to do. anyone interested in joining, please post or pm me or prowler with your name (first only) some strengths/weaknesses, what weapons u like to use most, etc. we're looking for 6 more guys (eight total) but are willing to expand later. maybe a few months down the road we can start challenging other clans and might consider league play. all interested are welcome, but we will scrutinize.

any suggestions from existing clans would be helpful...

yea, we're shooting for 8 total. as far as the practices go, we'll have to put our heads together and figure out each other's availability. it'd be nice to use the ={DHR}= server for practices (hint hint). there are plenty of "ghost town" servers all over the place, so finding a spot to practice shouldn't be too hard. other than that, we'll just have to make do on the public and custom map servers provided by warishellgaming.

remember, you can't recruit on the server, but if someone sounds interested, direct them to the site. :D

i am not usually home from work before 8pm est. but weekends are wide open usually. i'm not sure practice on a custom map server is a good idea. there is always the WiH Match Server isn't there? :mp5:

match server has been down for a little bit now, the owners weren't too happy with the bickering that was going on before. i'm avaiable all day saturday, only until 3 on sunday, only til 5/6 on mondays, tuesdays, and thursdays. wednesday and friday i'm available after 3pm. all times are in EST. hope we can come up with something.

and as far as the public server goes, i just think it will be hard to get a feel for the way we each play and how we can work together in a 32 player auto assign environment.....unless you are like me and die often enough to spec :D

What if we try this: Saturday will be "practice" day. We can meet on the WiH pub server at 5:00 pm est. That's 4:00 pm cst and 9:00 pm for are friends in the UK. We can maybe try that and see if it works, if not then I'm sure we'll think of something else. And about the server thing, we can't always play on the pub server so I don't know what we'll do about that yet.
But until we work out a solid practice schedule that suits everyone, we shouldn't worry about websites or private servers, imo.

i think we need to try a ghost server for next time, this home serving isnt working too well, there are plenty of empties with low ping....so lets think about just grabbing a random one for saturday :dunno:

i really enjoyed that little practice ebs. haven't used an auto snipe in sooooooooo long. and those bots are fun to shoot up :D . whenever there's like 2 or 3 of us on the public server and you don't mind hosting, just tell us to jump over.

That sounds like a plan to me. Especially if EBS doesn't make it. If he does, then it's up to you guys as too whom will host. I don't think it matters much who hosts, as long as they have a good connection.

If this does happen, and we do it on the DHR server that novski said we could practice on for our Sat practice, we have to remember that it is only a 12-man server. PNP has 7 guys, and I don't know how many RG has. If it's more than 7, than we can work something out, like 6 vs 6, or 5 vs 5, I don't know, something like that.

well as far as {PNP} goes, since this clan has formed, i have seen every single one of its members play incredibly at some point. in fact, aside from some lucky streaks i may have, i sometimes find it difficult to keep up with my team scorewise. that being said, i would be willing to bow-out and just remain a sub or something if a 6v6 or 5v5 scrim comes up. i'll leave the killing to those who do it best.....at least for now :thumbsup:

As much as you may think you're not needed, all of us are. You don't join a clan to think of yourself as the underdog, you join to become part of a team. As a team, all members must be positve and willing. If one person in a team falls apart, all members do so. If one succeds, it is because the team achieved the goal together. I don't mean to preach, and I'm certainly no leader, but I think that this should be the way we all feel when in a clan.

I like that idea guys. Lets try and keep PNP relativley small. It'll probably be a little easier to manage with less members. I say at most, 10 should be it.

Well with strat callers I think anyone experienced enough with all the maps, and has good leadership skills should fill that slot. I'm definetly no leader, so I'm don't even want to be considered. THERE, he said EXACTLY what i was thinking. Focus on a core please....i beg of you guys, cus ive been in a clan before and its true. Making a big clan early is dangerous cus people know each other, but not really. Stick to 10 or under, and make a relationship with your clan mates. compete for a few months, then think about expanding. We'll fare better and also play better. Just my 2 cents.

as far as clan size goes the only reason i suggested 12-16 was it allows some flexability so that if someone or 3-4 someones cannot make a scrim or practice we can still have a good practice. but i am totally cool with keeping it 10 or less.

We all need to remain respectful of all of the admins on this server, and be very aware of following the rules. not everyone that plays on this server does that and they have proven that even the best players can be banned for not following rules or disrepecting admins. we do not want to be a clan that loses the respect of the admins of this server in whole or part. (i do not feel that any {PNP} member has any problems in this area but just want to make sure everyone is aware of how important this server is to me personally having struggled to find a good server to play on.)

As far as being a Strategy caller i apreciate the suggestion and i would be happy to try my hand at filling the role and be willing to take turns and or take suggestions.

dunno if you guys read the RG news, but with all that around, I want you all to recognize that the clan was started here, and that we will always respect the admin here, the servers, and the owners. Time and time again the servers had changed to our suggestions, and the admin have always been on top of things as far as rules are concerned. And as far as im concerned, even if we break big in league play at some point in the future (faaar future :D ) I will always play on this server and consider it home...

With the Chupador13 thing, I'm not sure if he's joining or not. He has never posted here like instructed so one can only assume he did not care enough to join. Those are good players, and good guys from what I've seen. BUT, we must remember to remain a small clan. Especially since we just got off the ground. I stongly recommend we recruit only 2 more players. We can recruit more in the future, but I really, honestly think we should stay small for now. I know I'am not the leader of this clan and these decisions do come down to Prowler and Blood, but I hope you guys take what I've said into consideration.

well we are a bit more organized, but i dont think we are quite as gung ho as RG was/is....right now we think that we should just enjoy playing together and working to improve our teamwork (like me, vash, ebs, and monos tonight, we did some awesome stuff). We are not looking into league play yet and are just using the resources available to us (again, Mintskoal, thanks for letting us use the RCM2 server). i just think anyone considering on trying to join should know that

Here is a lil note to all of you who want to know how to get into my practice server when its up. This rule should always work, adding my ip to favourites doesnt.

at this point i think i'm the worst player on the team stats-wise cause i have a bad computer.

Just remember Blood, the name of the clan is Pure NOOB Pwnage. Skill is not a requisite, only teamwork. With a few more practices I'm confident everyones skill will improve drastically.

i do agree that teamwork is a major key of being good or bad, and strategy plays into good teamwork. i'm just saying that i think having to run source in 640x480 might have some adverse affects on my game.

Well I'm running on a AMD 1800 (=p4 1.8 roughly) 512ram, radeon 9800 pro, not to much difference from your comp just my vid card.
