Red Faction: Guerrilla - for PC - anyone have it? Lets play

A new patch for this game just came out for PC, so I've been playing it a bit.

It's an amazing game, I already finished it on 360, then bought it for PC.

The destruction physics are fucking crazy and i have a trainer that allows me to slow down time to see it all unfold in a ballet of awesomeness (not one of those wussy douchebag real ballets :P)

Anyone got it?

Does it have to do with performance?

see if deferred rendering (or something, forget what it's called) to false. That thing KILLS framerates.

If it's a sound issue, make sure you've logged into GFWL under an account so that it can update the game with the latest patch.
My sound was fucked before the patch.

If it crashes every 15 minutes of play (like mine, which only happens during SP), then I dunno, cause I haven't fixed that yet

Yeah, I got all those problems and a few extra ones.

GFWL crashes the game every time I try to update. So I cant save the game in singleplayer or get into Multiplayer. There is really nothing official on that issues. I did find a rather bizarro way to get the patch running but I wasnt real comfortable with it. While things ran somewhat better after jumping though the flaming hoop, the sound still fucked up and at one point vanished completely. I had steam verify the files and now I'm back at square one since it removed the bizzaro patch install.

I think I've spent at least 2-3 hours trying to trouble shoot this last night. I dont feel like doing that again. The only way it ran fairly well was in windowed mode. :( Fuck this, I'm going to play Assassins Creed 2. I'll come check Red Faction out later when (if) they ever get their shit together.

No it runs pretty good on my system, aside from some slow downs when a large building comes down. I guess I just got lucky.

My PC fucked up anyway.. had to uninstall and reinstall a bunch of crap.

I had trouble updating it. After some digging around I found some tips on getting it to work.

If you can't get it to download then try the following:
1. Start the game.
2. Bring up task manager.
3. Find the game process (think its rfg.exe) and change priority to normal.
4. Try to update.

Running the update manually.
The command (or make and modify a shortcut): rfg_ updater.exe" /f "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\red faction guerrilla"

I just updated my ATi drivers and everything runs great.
