here is another very good mod :
[v012] Something in France [ToV]
preface
Something in France or SiF is a modification for Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor that has been in development since the later half of this past summer (or winter for those of you who find yourself in the southern part of our world). The overall idea of the mod is to create a completely new experience by downsizing the Army choice, but at the same time expanding the two remaining ones while also introducing a long grocery list of changes. As for information about what exactly this means, well...
basic information
current
- Panzer Elite and Commonwealth no longer playable factions (though several units from both are recycled into the Wehrmacht and American Armies)
- Complete reworking of the six vCoH Command Trees
- Heavy changes to weapon accuracy, range, damage, etc
- Changes to some unit costs, especially infantry and weapon teams/light vehicles
- Changes to unit sight packages, tanks and vehicles are relatively restricting in their view range and rely on infantry for spotting and close quarters defense
- Reworked tech trees (it is now technically a six tier system rather than four tier system)
- Ten level vet system for all units, keeping your men and equipment alive really pays off now
- Utilization of custom units created by generous fellows such as McScruff and Tankdestroyer (as well as the rest of his team)

----
A major change coming to the Americans is that in order to begin construction of production structures (IE: barracks or wsc), they must first get 'TECHNOLOGY UNLOCK', a free upgrade from the command tree screen. However, the catch here is that only Armor and Infantry get this, which leaves Airborne with no ability to build anything other than field structures/defenses, and the triage center. While it is hard to explain the exact reasonings behind this, I can tell you that throughout numerous test games (2v2 all the way up to 4v4), Airborne players have still maintained a strong battlefield presence.
----
Please be aware that when going Armor as Americans, your riflemen well suffer a passive movement nerf (basically OoT Tommy speed). However, this doesn't straight up hamper the ability for Armor to field rifles, but rather just changes up the experience and tactics slightly.
----
A general outline of the vet system is as follows;
note: of course the xp needed for each level and the actual multipliers well vary from unit to unit
vet tier one: levels 1 thru 3, existing icons only bronze
lvl 1) rec. accuaracy, max speed (vehicles/tanks only)
lvl 2) rec. damage
lvl 3) rec. penetration (vehicles/tanks only), armor type change (infantry only), wehr tank skirts (on units that have them)
vet tier two: levels 4 thru 6, existing icons only silver!
lvl 4) lower reload time, decrease artillery unit recharge by 10s
lvl 5) increase accuracy, wehr tank mgs (on units that have them, kt included), decrease artillery unit recharge by 10s
lvl 6) lower cooldown time, decrease artillery unit recharge by 10s
vet tier three: levels 7 thru 9, existing icons only gold (see where this is going now!!!)
lvl 7) increase penetration
lvl 8) increase damage
lvl 9) increase range
vet tier four: level 10, three steal blue bars
lvl 10) increase max hp
----
Please note, all the tanks gained through the Blitz Command Tree (IE; stuh42, panther ace, hetzer, etc) are FREE, but at the same time can only be used ONCE. Also, you need to call them in in the order in which you unlock them (for example Stuh42 -> Tiger Ace -> King Tiger).
