yes, as long as you have 1.5 installed you only need to update your PR to .874 and then for FH uninstall any previous version and install 2.2

you should be able to just double click it and it will unrar in a temp folder. it will first ask for the password. i downloaded from a slow european link and the file looks corrupt. i am redownloading from wih now.

ive played a couple of hours now, man this is fun. i did alot of hedgerow fighting, good maps... cant wait to play more..

Played purple heart line and operation goodwood. Hegderows are awesome. Tanks on one shot killers as are most rifles just like fh42.

Just a great job by the mod team. Made the right decision by jumping to the Normandy theater

fh2 ftw. since the wee days of fh's first bf42 release until now, ive been a big fan. so i am a biased reviewer...

i like the models, gameplay and war setting. some things ive learned about this release that has been different from all other fh releases or is different than most other fps..

the rifle grenadier for the brits can fire rifle grenades and hand grenades from the rifle..

on the us jeep, if you lay down front windshield, the jeep is convertable. if you raise the front windshield.... the cover also appears to make a covered jeep.

there is a pitchfork kit in some of the barns... i had a guy next to me covering my ass with a pitchfork..

most or many rifles have bayonets.. and that is fun...

at least one map has a driveable locomotive that will move across the map on the rr tracks and can carry troops and will blow up when hit hehe...

this release has the best hedge-row fighting of any game/mod ive played so far

the flame thrower is more deadly and makes larger, longer lasting flame than any other representation of it... i said large and longer.. hehe

at least one map, point du hoc, has multiple objectives and is actually unlike any other bf2 map ive played.... first of course the US has to scale the cliffs and push the germans back all the way thru the map. then, to win, the US has to blow up the 4 artillery pieces of point du hoc. so, it winds up being a dual mode map... a push and then destroy map. really a great map... very intense when server is full.

artillery pieces are individually manned, not commander controlled. easy interface between spotters and artymen.

the BAR has two full auto fire rates to choose from..

liberal placement and availability of specialty kits... such as mortar kits, mgs, bazookas etc.

of course the obligatory bicycles, tractors, great airplane modeling.. including the fw-190, tons o tanks, halftracks, greyhounds, jeeps, 88's, paks, 6 pounders, 2 pounders..

anyway, it has been fun. i hope or wish that more of you could or would play. im going to be playing in a little bit..

This is a very well done mod. Was playing for about an hour last night and had a blast in it.

**Wanted to add a few things. I really liked the weapons in this mod. Didnt get a chance to play with the BAR. Was having an excellent time with the M1, K98, and the British rifle (Springfield?). The sights on them are great and with the new screen resolutions, I was picking people off from quite a long distance. I doubt half the guys I shot had any clue where I was. Could barely see the little guys myself while shooting. Although, it did make it hard to ID if they were good or bad guys. I know I took a few shots at a friendly, but I didnt hit him. Good thing too since those rifles are one shot kills.

Didnt get a chance to play around in any vehicles. I really want to try out the FW190 though. It does look pretty damn funny when I saw someone jump into one of the cannons and start moving it. The dude was just floating there while it slowly crawled around.

Cant wait to try this mod out again.

Thank you sir. I did a quick google check but couldnt find the name of it. Oddly enough it was the rifle I had used the most during my brief tryout and I couldnt remember the name of it!

Smoke round Drayu? :lol: I guess I had it coming from that missed shot earlier on me. It was bound to happen. I saw you lining up on me and I was really expecting to get wacked. Wish you could of seen my face when I heard the shot and didnt die. I should of been on TS for that I guess.

And Snake.. I dunno how I didnt die when you popped me at about 10ft. You did hit me and messed me up good. :dunno:

Zoom, range with machine gun, be sure you are on the round you want (HE=Troops, AP=Anti Tank, APHC or something light that=Tank one shoter on most tanks)

the sighting reticle for tanks, at guns and maybe the aircraft is x by default. i have remapped all my keys so i dont exactly know. as drayu said, most or all of the mounted mgs can zoom with iron sights as well.

yeah, if you dont know about the separate sighting reticle for tanks, you will be walking rounds in while your opponent is disecting your tank out from underneath you.

so you guys played last night??? im missing it. i have to work late tonight, but will check to see if anyone is on when im done.

I joined your server today to play FH2. You guys only had 9 players on your server and before I could even join the game I got banned. When I try to join it says I am banned by an admin or because of team killing. I have not done anything to get banned. I have read your rules. What is the deal? I have a number of friends that play and I guess we will play on another server.

Please post in the banned forum so the admin who banned you will see and will be able to respond. If it was an auto ban it may take a few hours for it to clear.

does the server autokick idle? if not i will try and be idle when pops are low try and get people in sucks just having a couple good US servers, drives me mad seeing all these people in EU servers with 300 pings, i wouldn't sit idle in full server of course.
