Well happy or not, part 2 is finally on the way!

I am not so excited because there area already like 20 games on my must have list right now, so this is going to be put on the back burner for me, but some of you may be interested...

video... when they eventually get to in-game, it looks REAL good though, looks like there will be lots of dragons and dragon reference, which I love, and the werewolf charcter they show for a glimpse at the end looks sweet

well they certainly stepped things up a notch in terms of the artisitic direction. I have to say I am not a big fan of the anime bent that they tend to go with on this game. That seemed underplayed in the original game and became more and mroe pervasive as they added expansions.

In any case, i would consider this game if they completely changed game play from the original. After playing WOW on a few trail accounts, I much prefer a lot of the things about that game. I'm not saying that GW2 should be more like WOW. i just think they need to come up with something a little more emersive.

Personally, I like the having 80 levels thing. The joy for me in RPGs is character development. When that stops happening very shortly into the game, I loose interest particularly when the story line is rather weak and has a high "who gives a crap" factor to it.

Anyway, I will make a decision when more game details emerge and I see some gameplay footage or get to play a trial.

It is hard for me to compare GW to WoW since I am a FPS player.
I did power level a WoW character to 58 for a friend and my 13 year old
played several trial wow accounts.
Basically I see GW as a low cost alternative to WoW with no monthly fee.
I bought the GW trilogy for $30 and my son plays it regularly.
I play it once in a while. Mostly follow my son around.

Not really sure what you mean by the "anime" bend the art direction is taking, if your talking about the concept art from the original game and expansions I don't really see the comparison. The trailer for GW2 was sorta kinda anime, but the in game stuff that had in the preview was no different than the current in game art style they use now.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the new Guild Wars when it comes out.

I'll probably pick this up when it comes out, so long as they don't charge a fee.

Here (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2/FAQ) is the FAQ from the GW2 wiki page. Thankfully there will be no fee, so that means I will absolutely be picking this game up.
