Hello ladies and gentlemen!
My friend made a big big mistake. During a moment of alcohol-induced lack of judgement, he sought the warm embrace of a shiny new computer.
Upon the arrival of his brand new Alienware m17, he realized the insanity of what he did. "Good god" he thought.
I said: "Good god man, what were you thinking?!?!? Can I have it?"
The answer to that question was: no.
So, here I am, asking any of you fine people if you might also be having a moment of alcohol-induced lack of judgement. Or perhaps even a brilliant moment of clarity?
Would any of you like to take this computer off his hands? Probably for much less than you would if you bought one from Dell?
It has only been fired up 3 times because he was hiding it in the closet praying to god his wife didn't find it. She didn't. However, she did find the bill, and needless to say, he's in DEEP SHIT.
So kids, here's the specs:
Alienware M17 (in shiny black)
17" WUXGA LCD with 2.0Mp webcam (1920x1200)
Intel QuadCore Extreme 2.53Ghz QX9300
4Gb DDR3 RAM @ 1067Mhz
2x ATI Radeon HD3870 in crossfire mode, 1Gb total video RAM
Bluetooth
Illuminated keyboard (blue...)
160Gb HD (Seagate 7200RPM)
8x DVD/CD combo drive
Intel 3x3 a/g/n wireless
Hi-Def audio
MS Vista Home Premium
PowerDVD8.0
Nero 9
Alienware Hat (totally makes it worth the $$$.. shields from government mind control rays and might even be bulletproof!!*)
Connections:
Power
Coax (like.. for cable TV)
eSATA
HDMI
Gigabit ethernet
3x USB
SD card reader
PCMCIA (or whatever that new standard is.. express card?)
Firewire
Optical sound
Headphone/mic
Fingerprint reader
All software is included (except for Norton Antivirus, I made him throw it out the window), all discs, the fancy leather-bound manual, laptop sleeve, blah blah blah.... The only thing that is missing is the original box, but all of the factory stuff is still there- including the protective plastic on the manual.
He got it for roughly $3500 in March 2009. Make an offer... He knows he's not going to get that much for it, but I think somewhere between $2500 and $3000 is fair.
Just think, you'd have a fancy 17" screen to see my bombs coming to blast you to little bits. BOOM!!
Parents, Christmas is right around the corner. Do the right thing: help get my friend out of debt and out of the doghouse, while making your kids believe you're the best parent EVER.
I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, and believe me, it's very nice (though I have never seen it fired up)
