squad nite?

I propose we have 1 nite where all of WiH players get on the same team and all get into squads. I'd like to see how well we all work together.

I think i mentioned something last week on TS about an idea i had, and this would be the way to implement it.
32 players = 5 squads of 6 + commander +1 loner(im sure someone will want to snipe, or fly a jet)
Give each squad a flag to cap/defend for the whole round. If that squad looses thier assigned flag, they spawn at another and go take it back. You would have control of 5 flags for most of the game, that team would crush the opposition at least in the tick department.

or have 4 squads on flags and the 5th squad take planes/attack choppers just to imped the other teams airfoce. maybe that 5th squad could C4 there arty and things

This whole idea is great. Like in the military each squad should have a purpose (air defense, ground defense, armor, etc.) If the commander gives tells a squad where to go they need to go there. Just think how fast an anti-armor squad could wipe out the other teams armor, especially backed up by the other squads. :hump:

in tribes we call this a pick up game, it was like meeting at a baseball field when you're around 13 and two captains pick the teams, then assign everyone to positions to play.

you should pass the server one night, make a sign up sheet for 64 players here on the forum, everyone could nominate two captains or the admins could pick two, and go from there. the captains would be commanders, they would assign people to squads, pick squad leaders... etc.

what a grand time it could be.

Sounds like fun, signup sheet a great idea since most people probably can't play every night, and you be able to get an accurate count.

One thing I really like about WiH, alot of people do join squads and work together compared to other servers I have played on that have 1 person per squad going on.

Yeah. If you create a WIH squad, it'll be full in a few minutes. If you guys see this, go ahead and create a WIH 2 squad on the team to gather the peeps that's not in the 1st WIH squad.

I'll have to check but we had to give up a dedicated box in order to maintain our ranked server.

It's already a done deal. We either keep a dedicated box and run an empty unranked server or get rid of it and pay for a ranked server that's full 24/7 and rated #3 in the whole world. It's a no brainer really.

Yeah Drayu, the ranked server is really really expensive no one wants to pay for a empty server which is not cheap in it's own right.

We were rated at #2 before all the crashings occured. Then #3. Then yesterday's EA problems caused our ranking to drop to #5. But we've always been top 10.
