That's crazy! I saw that in the news this morning too. Zombie ants with parasites growing inside them, then their heads fall off. Kinda like Alien with ants...

I've caught insects at Brackenridge Field Lab. Would've been cool to get a parasitized ant.

All joking aside, I'm always worried when scientists introduce a new species into the local environment. They never seem to really think about what kind of mayhem the new species might reek upon other insects, animals and humans in the area. Everything has a natural predator. When you introduce something into the environment that does not have a predator bad things usually start to happen. If they migrated up here naturally I wouldn't be all that concerned. Bad things come from actions such as these all the time and yet they don't seem to stop and think about them. Maybe they do know what they are doing but I'm wary.
