Hey.. I almost bought one of these guys today. Qwest is making its wireless users switch to Verizon, and just about all of their phones is better than the piece of crap I have now.
Soooo... here's what I'm looking at, in the order I'm looking at them:
1) Samsung Omnia
2) LG Dare
3) BB Storm
4) BB Curve
5) LG Versa
I really can't afford any of the HT phones.. but think I might be able to hold out for a couple more months if something newer and cooler comes out (which it always does). Seriously though, I hate my phone right now.
Any tips or hints about those phones? I've been reading up on those phones for a couple weeks now...
I figured I should probably ask the geek squad (no, not the lame douchebags at Best Buy.. you guys hahahaha)

Frack bestbuy geeksquad :spank:
But seriously id go for the omnia, its a solid phone + its running on windows mobile. For winmo i have a plethora of links and apps that would make your omnia even more sexy.
btw i use the sony xperia x1i on att. You should consider switching carriers if its an option for you ... way better phones you can buy cheaper + they are unlocked.

Thanks for the info.. I can't really switch carriers though, because I'm locked into a bundle through qwest. I'll look into it though, I have a couple months to decide.

I have the samsung Eternity for AT&T which is similar minus the Winmo 6.1. Seems like the Omnia is a solid IPhone alternative. I have some gripes about the Eternity but none so big that I regret the purchase.
I actually took 30 minutes to type you out my take on the phone I have which is realliy similar but then my browser crashed...
Anyway, Omnia would be a good choice.

I actually ended up getting the Omnia. It's not half bad actually.. and it was only 99 bucks.
My old phone was a POS, so the Omnia could totally blow and I would never know better. Sure, it's no iphone, but then again, that's why I bought it. Neither it is a brick on your face like a blackberry.. it feels like a phone, the wifi kicks butt, sounds good, makes calls, I can type on it, and you can apparently mod the hell out of it with hacked firmware :)
I'll let you know how it goes...
