I found a site that has info on how to get all of them, it may or not be correct but it looks to get legit.

http://ubar.phusion9.com/

I very seriously hope that this information is wrong because it is ridiculous...but looking at EA's track record I am willing to bet this info is spot on. I don't know if ANYONE is ever going to see ANY medals other than purple heart and the bronze/silver/gold.

For example: to get the armor combat medal, you need 3000 hours logged in a tank. If sat in a tank 24/7 it would take you 125 days. If you were in a tank for 3 hours of the day everyday it would take you 3 years. And this is one of the lower requirement medals. EA is F'd up.

those are all nuts
3000 hours of being in a plane....i dont think i been in a plane for more than 10 mins
4500 hours of somthing else....
thats really screwed up
even the hardcore bf2 players wont be gettin some of those medals, badges, ranks in like 2 years
250000 points for the highest rank
500 > 1000 > 10000 > 25000 > 50000 > 750000 > 150000 > 250000
lol im only at 23000 :jester:

UNREAL!!!

I bow to anyone that hardcore. It kind of fits given it takes 3 years of near constant play to get the highest rank.

Holy jesus some of that is ridiculous, 40 repair points in one round as an engineer? Its hard enough to get 5 or 6 and thats when I'm following a tank, what kind of crack is EA on.

wonder if they are going to allow ranked servers for MODs.. Like if DC or POE were ranked.. spent a year or 2 on DC.. If there is a MOD like and they don't rank it, we may end up playing that and not get points at all

wihadmin
07-18-2005, 10:48 AM
Nope. Mods will not be ranked.

DinkyPoopStick
07-18-2005, 10:54 AM
well lets hope there are no good mods so we stick with the ranked long enough to get a medal

On the contrary, we want good mods to get away from the constraints placed on us by EA for a ranked server. Ranking/medals/awards have brought out the worst teamplay in people from my point of view. We now have guys running around with a knife trying to stab people instead of what their squad needs. We have guys sitting in a AA turret to get the badges instead of capping the flags. We have guys flying jets around aimlessly trying to get their air badge. The list goes on... It's all about, what I gotta do to get that ribbon/badge/award.

I don't care about a kinfe badge. I only knife when I get lucky enough to sneak up on an unsuspecting sniper.

:yuck:

But I agree with you about most people being that way.

Ok, I have just about had it. I dont think I have ever owned a video game that I didnt beat and get every unlockable charecter, gun, or specal thing there was to get in that game. Now EA is telling me that if I want that record to stay I need to play this damn game for the rest of my life everyday and I probobly still wont have enough global hours to get all of that stuff. AHAHAHA I HATE THEM.

Just did some math and I found that it would take about 1.6 years of round the clock playing to get all the expert badages (assuming that you stop on exactly 1000 minutes on the dot). Also, it will take about 3.37 years of playing to get all the medals.

Now considering you play about 4 hours a day, daily, it will take you 20.2 years to get all the badges, medals, and ribbons (assuming you can get some at the same time as getting others, ie. the bare minimum)

All I have to say is good luck to you all! :D

I just did some math too. 1.6 years of round the clock playing is equivalant to 76.8 years of playing for a married person.

Heck, I've found the knife to be extremely useful. I tore through 3 guys the other day in knife on gun action before i got gunned down. The sucker kills in one hit! insane!

well i'm royally farked for my advanced sniper medal(even though once i hit the time i should get it by default)

the knife and pistol medals are lamely easy to get.

Kossori

Yeah, don't poo-poo the knife. It is a very dangerous and powerful weapon...in the right hands. I got 21 knife kills in one round and my Expert Knife badge just a while ago. All the while I was doing my medic duties and finished up with a solid score of 67.
