Weird CS Error

My friend recently reinstalled steam and everything because he had uninstalled it before because he didnt play much and got weird errors..Now that hes reinstalled it..weird errors again.

I wanted him to come try out one of the zombie mods because hes an RE fan and it kept botting him before he'd join the server back to the main CS screen..

my guess is that its some kind of problem with the zombie horde models, tell your friend to go into his cstrike folder and delete all of his zombie horde materials and re download them. if it doesnt work... i dunno.

no he doesnt have any custome skins and also when he tries to play on any server it messes up. he tried playing on WiH and he played through one round before it froze so bad he had to reboot his comp. its weird because CS used to work for him he played here before awhile ago.

supposedly there is an issue with the T model with the last patch where it isen't correctly doing somthing.

Apparently it was rampant with the April updates, but died down with the May updates. A few users managed to fix this problem by using catalyst 5.12 drivers for their ati cards. Also, a number of them have windows 2000 and not winXP.

Still, a common suggestion is to validate the gcf files for cs:s. you can do that here:

Hey. This is "the friend" Persephone speaks of.

I'll look more into it later, but the problem Persephone asked about isn't primarily my biggest problem. In constant effort to just play the damn game, I keep getting this:

What happens is I get into a server. Attempt to choose a team (sometimes I can successfully get on a team), but then the game freezes up and I look in my console and find this fragment problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times. I downloaded the latest video drivers. I have even reformatted my hard drive a lot. Wtf?
