I'm hearing rumors that a 1.02 patch might be coming out Fri sometime. Don't hold your breath though.

Fix the random crashing

MAKE AN AUTO PATCHER!!!

fix the ram/lag issues.

Clients will be able to patch v1.0 to 1.02 or 1.01 to 1.02 in our cases.

GameSpy Login Issues
It has been brought to our attention that some users may be experiencing login problems when trying to log into GameSpy through the BF2 in-game browser. GameSpy is in the process of hunting down the problem to get it fixed they have determined that the issue is related to web sites tracking BF2 stats, the stats tracking feed may be turned off temporarily in order to speed up this process. However, it will be turned back on after this issue has been resolved.

HOTFIX Candidate Now Being Tested!
Listen up soldiers, this update is to inform you that EA and DICE have a HOTFIX candidate for Battlefield 2 v1.01 in testing now. What does this mean? It means the fix for the memory leak found in v1.01 is being tested and will soon be available. While we're unable to specify an exact release date, rest assured, it's not far off and we will keep you updated through this web space.

The announcement was sent from EA developers to the EA mailing list of trusted partners. So it is not available for public viewing.

WiH ranked server has been patch to 1.02. So go ahead and patch your clients as well.

If this patch looks good on the server side, we'll put back in Fushe Pass and Dragon Valley into the rotation.

uhh i have a problem with the patch, i ran the version 1.02 patch and it says v1.01

It's fine. It is still the 1.02 even though it says 1.01. It was mentioned in the dialogs with the patch.

Can this file be put on the WiH FTP? Getting pretty horrible download speeds from EA... I checked the WiH FTP and it seems to be down.

I tried the ftp also but it says I dont have access to the server.

Don't know if it is on WiH ftp, but when I did the demo download there, it wouldn't work with netscape or firefox browsers, you have to use internet explorer, or it won't work. It was really annoying, but if you use IE it will work, unless the server is down.

The Demo server killed the bandwidth for the month we won't be able to provide it most likely.
Try Fileplanet or Game Spot.

I was using FlashFXP to try.

The Demo server killed the bandwidth for the month we won't be able to provide it most likely.
Try Fileplanet or Game Spot.
I just waited it out, heh, thanks though.

Is it me, or did the patch make it almost totally unstable? 2 server crashes, and one client crash in the space of about 4 hours. And what's up with VOIP? First time I've ever joined WiH server and not heard anything from any squads. My bad luck?

I couldnt even play this morning. I was 4 points away from my upgrade and the lag was so bad on every server I just picked one and gt 4 points and waited for a round end so I could upgrade.

I wasnt on WIH cus the server was full and I tried 10 minuits to get on but nothing. So I got tired.

EA sucks. Cant they make even one patch work right.
