This article gives me a certain sense of urgency that makes me very aware of the closest nuclear fallout shelter which just so happens to be in the lower basement area in the older portion of the building I work in at the university. The bonus of working in a building that was built during the Cold War. While no longer stocked with supplies and the such, it's still deep below ground level, reinforced and has a lead filled steel door that can be barred if need be.
My random wandering about in my building actually pays off.

Start making your BoB (Bug Out Bag. I'll be writing more about this in the gun and gear thread). Think about what you will need for a week (Seven days). H2O is the biggest problem and what to do with it after you drink it. You will want to keep your food intake down as much as possible. Also what to do for a week. You can only fap to the images you saved onto your cell for so long before the battery dies.
