Apparently we're having some issues with ppl in TS when playing L4D. It's a big enough problem to have driven ppl off of our TS and on to other TS servers. I'm concerned this will hurt the community in the long run.
From what I can tell there are different reasons for this.
There is the issue of experience. I want to remind everyone that War is Hell is all about helping out new players with a new game. But how you help them or how you accept help can be different for everyone. Yelling, scolding or berating ppl bc they're not playing the game "right" is not acceptable at WiH. At the same time, the newer players need to be willing to follow the directions and advice of the more experienced players.
Another issue seems to be different styles of playing. One example is the type of weapon someone wants to use and how they use it. Another example is just fooling around instead of helping out the team. While we've always promoted teamwork we also want ppl to have fun. So there should be room for all of these differences of style and preference.
Therefore, I've created a couple more L4D channels in TS to accommodate the differences in experience and/or style of play in hopes that it will bring back the folks using other TS servers.
This isnt intended to single out any individuals or groups. We all need to be tolerant of each other and work this issue out.
We're open to other suggestions on how we can work this out but, keep it positive or your post will be deleted.
