That can turn an idea into a video game?
If you heard this idea, you'd crap yourself.

It can't possibly be better than my idea... which I can never tell anyone because they'll steal it from me and make BILLIONS.

Actually.. I have a couple friends in the gaming business.. they told me if you can pitch it in one paragraph and still have it sound kick-ass, then you might be able to pull it off. But you have to think it totally through in case they bite :)

Good luck!!

If no one picks it up, you could start a mod team for Crysis/HL2/UT3/etc and pitch the idea via that way. Quite a few studios have started that way these days.
Still, recruiting a full mod team is no easy task.

Well, Brownliverspot from the God Squad may be employed by one of the leading gaming companies in the nation. Go to bfgodsquad.com. PM him. He may be able to help.

You could send a PM to Alf. He "might" be able to direct you in the right direction.

There's a lot of ways to get a job in the gaming industry. There's a company here that was hiring pretty much any CS graduate to develop Java-based games for cell phones.
Like Filthy mentioned, another way is to make a successful mod for a game. I've seen people get hired for scripts they've developed over time for a game, for good stories/quests they've written, or heck, sometimes for just for being especially active in a particular game's community.

There's also open source engines if you want to write entire games yourself or with a small volunteer team. It's also not impossible to write a full-fledged game with only a handful of people. Serious Sam got its start that way.
