Hello All!

I'm new to the group so I'm stopping by to say hello. I'm an airline pilot form Dallas, Texas. I got this game last week and love it! Your servers are the best. Now if I can just figure out how to get TS working and find out how to talk to an admin when I want to get into a game I'll be all set. Do I use GameSpy or the BF2 in-game set-up? Any help will be appriciated and I look forward to playing with you guys/gals!

Right now it's a Saab 340. I'm typed in the ATR and EMB too.

So I connect to the TS server through the TS program. What else do I have to have open? I have GameSpy and the "Play BF2 Online Now" shortcut that the game installed. Which do I use?

I'm sorry these questions seem so basic but I'm trying my best to get this game going, I'm addicted already...

You don't need to have Gamespy open. Don't use the "Play BF2 Online". That will connect you to a random BF2 ranked server. Just use the normal "Battlefield 2" icon.

For Teamspeak, use "Anonymous" and give yourself the same TS name as your ingame name. Leave Teamspeak running when playing the game.

Hey JetJockey... I work on the engines myself after you pilots get done playing with them lol ... jp i like what i do =) Just PLEASE don't overtemp any engines for the sake of your mechanics..

Thanks guys, I'm really glad to find a group like this! You really make a guy feel welcome. Yeah Karl an overtemp gets the chief pilot very excited...we don't like him excited...

What kind of engines do those planes have? Turboprop or what?

or do they use old fashioned combustion engines with a prop?

edit: actually I just looked it up... fricken sweet plane I love turboprops!

Very complex.. there is actually more to the propellers on those than the engines.. the engines are simple.
