PATCH V1.01 HAS BEEN RECALLED BY EA GAMES

Everone has to uninstall the patch coz it has a memory leak that results in LAG. Go to the EA webbie if you must confirm this but the warishellgaming server should be reverted to the original instlled version so we can all play LAG free... oh and price check on laxettes Isle 5 :P

PS They are working on a fix as we speak and hopfully within a month they will have it all over and ready to play.

Our server will stay at v1.01. We noticed lag on the server Saturday. But yesterday, the server seem to be running pretty smooth. Occasional lag or the constant crashing? We chose to put up with the occasional lag.

I played for a good while last night and it was as smmoth as can be, at least for me.

As soon as I installed the patch I got unplayable lag, and now I've reinstalled BF it's all good. Unfortunatly coz the server is in 1.01 I can't play in it, so both ways I'm screwed. I was hoping that the server would revert back to original version but it seems like i'm just gonna have to wait until they fix the patch b4 returning to it... pity, I love playing in the warishellgaming server. So just remeber if you are experiancing LAG it is most likly from the v1.01 patch. I'll keep my eyes glued to the EA webbie and let everyone know when the fix is up.

Sounds like a client side issue. As a lot of the people from here that play in the server isn't experiencing the same lag that you're getting.

Did you do the tweak where you delete the cache?

There is a memory leak with the new patch but too many people already installed it to do any kind of reverting. I noticed a drop in performance when I installed it but I just reverted a couple settings to medium and it seemed to help. It also helps alot if I quit the game after 4-5 maps, scrub ram, then restart BF2. EA should have never released that patch but I've read the next patch will get rushed out to fix it.

True, but you know they will. :hehehe: I want them to patch the memory leak plus the other issues I know they're aware of. Wishful thinking.

Every now and I then I will have some framerate issues with the 'patch' but it isn't that bad. A reboot will take care of it. I probably would reinstall the game but I seem to be having other issues. I can't seem to uninstall BF2 or the demo at the moment. Lovely..

Yup, born and raised. Lived in Brisbane most of my life but spent like 6 years moving coz of my dad being in the army... he was a major until he finished serving 21 years. BTW How come BF2 came out in America in 2004? I am very annoyed that Australia got second dibs on it :P

Must have been a typo in the forums coz I saw one about needing a ranked server and it said 2004 in it... Oh well, good to know it was launched around the same time as us :P BTW How many members do we have here at war is hell gaming?
