Okay I gotta ask... Does anyone else think the new in-game rating system blows? I have had the biggest ego downsize the last couple of days because that stupid thing is ranking me at like 336 out of 410 people. I thought I was going out of my mind or I just didn;t realize how much I sucked or something. Then I check psycho-stats tonight and I am ranked in the top 20 for the first time in my life. I am gathering that the new version has a different (and in my opinion, inferior) way of calculating rank. In any case, I was ranked like 16 five nights ago and then had two rounds where I got noobed by two guys (I was alone on CTs) in Compound. Since then I have had the irreprable rank of "suck" according to that stupid thing. :upyours:

Ya, its like it goes by how many kills are between K and D. Like if someone has 10K and 5D it will beat someone that has 100K 97D I think.

I guess so... It also doesn't take in account who you kill like pyscho stats does. Although I believe there is still something wrong. If I sort by K:D ratio in pscho stats, i am still ranked lik 72 (not 336). And according to psychostats, my skill has gone through the roof (for me any way) the last couple of days. So, the thought that maybe I've been sucking the last few days does not really hold water either. I think that new system is messed up.

The ingame ranking system is different than the Psycho stats. The 2 are not tied together. We looked in the logs and people always do "/rank", so we turned that on. Now that it's on, people don't like it. :dunno: what to do here....

phsychostats has a plugin where when u type rank /rank, etc. it brings up a window with the info.

WiHadmin, I know why the thing was installed. I just hate it. lol. Leave it on, I don't care. I was merely pointing out the incongruency to the community. :rockon:

it goes by kill/death ration..but psycho stats goes by hours u play/k:d/and kill time

I can't find anything on psychostats site in regards to an in-game plugin.

Lets just get rid of the in game ranking system. Psychostats is good enough. Who cares if everyone is typing /rank, they will find out soon that it doesnt work.

Actually for Beetlesmod the in game rank system goes by Kills minus Deaths then it adds headshots in their somehow.. not sure if it just adds them or what.

Can you determine what the /rank command outputs? I was :('d to find that it didn't provide KDR or HS kills :(

I think a good player should strive to have their HS kills = to 1/2 actual kills or more. So HS is something I like to look at a lot.
