colored models/skins

Because it is so hard to tell the difference CT from T on some maps I have hear people discuss putting different skins and colors on the thier models, and I didn't know if this was unnaceptable or okay. I thought I would ask before putting them on and then finding out they aren't "legal"

They are fine wile pubbing. In WIH servers they are fine but if you play in cal you will forfit so fast it will turn you underwear purple.

Additionally, when WiH hosts its next CS:S tournament, we'll probably have some rules about player skins.

Custom skins are cool cuz they're like normal character skins (ie; they look like a CT or SWAT or police officer or something) but...

Colored models are used for an entirely different purpose. Popular aimbots utilize color models for locking on a preselected color. So if CT colored skin is Blue and T colored skin is Red, you could set your aimbot to lock on either red or blue colored areas. Some even have different colored heads, so you can toggle your aimbot to aim for the head instead.

For the most part, colored models are considered illegal, but custom skins are not.
