I have scoliosis, so I'm thinking of buying some kind of therapeutic foam and pillow for my bed. I've seen ads for the Contour Cloud Mattress and Pillows before and they looked pretty good but I can't find any reviews or comments on them other than the ploys given by the manufacturer.
Anyone have one or used one?
The mattress/pillow bundle will cost me upwards of $160 so I want to make sure it's good before I buy.
Not sure if I'll go for it if I can't get any feedback on it.
Thanks for any help

not bad, we bought a costco version ofthe memory foam matress topper and pillows, and they work really well, the make most things comfy and nice to sleep on, most of the mattresses this includes the origional novaform one for nearly $1000 are a faom matress with up to 2 inches of the memory foam on them i can imagine after a few years the foam sagging.... if we want extra comfort we put 2 of our matress toppers on the bed ( though our bed is actually a couch/bed from ikea which ended up being more comfy then our origional bed/matress combo, it has a nice firm base to it and the matress topppers with memory foam make it comfy, the only issue is getting the pillows right, some nights i sleep like a baby other nights i toss and turn and wake up like i just was in the ring with an olympic wrestler...
my wife has a bad back and a torn hip ligament so it is hard for her to get a decent nights rest, but the memory foam does help alot dunno if it helps in your case but i guess it is similar to what you are looking at, my sister is a nurse and she has the origional nasa memoryfoam novaform thing and swears by it... but that is REALLY EXPENSIVE.

Thanks for all the info digalot. I think I'll go to Costco tomorrow and check out what them have because I read on the net that they sell Novaform for pretty damn cheap. I can also check out what else they have.
Do you remember how much ur sis said she bought it for?

I used to sleep on one of those memory foam mattresses pads over my brick-like mattress, can't remember what brand though. It was overall very nice and comfortable. DO NOT throw yourself down on it, like you might on a normal bed, as it is similar to belly flopping on the ground with a little more give. Overall, if you have back problems it makes things comfortable.
I've never used a memory foam pillow.

We have a memory foam pad on our mattress.
I love it, my wife tolerates it.
It was an el-cheapo version from Wal-Mart.

I got a 3in memory foam topper for our previous bed. It made it so much more comfortable. I highly recommend it. I also use a contour memory foam pillow. I love mine. I don't get crinks in my neck anymore and I find other pillow too non-supportive anymore. It will take a couple of weeks to really get used to it and make sure you get a pillow liner for it so you can wash the liner and not the pillow. I got both of these from Bed Bath and Beyond.
I also am a proud owner of a King sized Sleep Number bed. Sleep NumberŪ 6000 Bed
King size, Dual Chamber, Wired Remotes, Foundation and normal legs. Had it shipped in many large boxes and put it together myself with my wife's help in about an hour. Cost us about $3200 because it was on sale at the time.
It's so damn comfortable.

You must be just sleeping on air Kilroy.. at least you'd better be for $3200 :O
I'm going to Costco to see what they have. I'll definitely be getting that contour pillow though, even if I have to order it.

So I bought the novaform mattress foam and pillow for about $170 with tax. The mattress is lying on the ground inflating (it smells like chemicals too :P). The pillow feels awesome, just awesome. Hopefully the mattress has the same effect
Thanks for all the input :)

Well I came home drunk at 4am last night and I had the memory foam laid out on my cement den floor to expand and air out.
I decided to pass out on it... face down.
So, hasn't really helped my back yet, but I'm sure once it's actually on my mattress, I'll be in the clouds.

umm yes drunk and passing out never usually helps your back *LOL* at least you didn;t throw up on the new pad, and hey you managed to sleep the night on it on the cement, not many things you can do that with and still be able to walk in the morning *L*

hehe
Well I slept on it 2 nights after in a sober state and I can't truly feel the difference yet, but then again I haven't completely stopped roofing, either. Hopefully I find the bed/pillow are worth the investment.
