EDIT: And I really hope they eventually include a game mode into BF2 where supply lines are used to force a frontline style of action instead of backdoor flag whores. That would be great... so we don't all have to play the "drive/fly around the map the whole time and cap the flag merry-go-round."
EDIT#2: Oops, that was probably a thread hijack... delete it if you must. :)

Its called DoD Source, should be out soon. Missing all the vehicles, but forces alot of straight up middle war fights.

I have gotten quite a bit of points in Blackhawk runs. However, I have gotten more points and had more fun doing F15 bombing runs. I didn't get many more points but I did die less. It's a lot harder for a crappy pilot to ram a jet then a chopper. Blackhawk is easier, but F15 was a tad more rewarding in my opinion.
What can I say? I like to blow stuff up.

get on 32...or 64 player maps depending on your comp's ability and only play on sharqai pen., strike at karkand, and mush city using the regular assault kit. grenade launcher+assault rifle owns in the close quarters and if there is a tank, the small alleyways provide quick cover and a means to evade them.
last night at like 5:00 am i found my groove and got 93 points in one round! and the rest of the rounds i was getting an average of 60 points...anywhere from 50-something to 70-something except tat one amazing round.

OR you can stay outside the flag-change radius and just kill people as they spwan in. Especially if you leave the squad leader and medics alive :) Some guys on TS were complaining about it last night, but I'll leave the culprit nameless
Get a support dude with you and you can nade spam them :)

This is annoying as hell and is bush league in my opinion. At least try to take the flag.

BURN!!!! :angryfire: Sweet...I totally agree.
Be a Medic. No wait better yet, be a good medic. Also, the blackhawk thing isn't bad either. :D :mp5:

Hey, I agree. *I* don't do it either, but like I said there was a discussion about it last night. Some said it was ok, some didn't. Someone did make a good point though about how long the flags take to change if you are by yourself...

I didn't direct that comment toward you Darkness. I was making a statement.
In WiH, we do not have a spawn camping rule primarily b/c we wanted the opposing team to be able to infiltrate bases to destroy commander's assets. But we did not intend for people use that to spawn camp to gain points in the described manner.
My advice is to NOT spawn there if that's happening. Let them camp an empty flag. But if that is the only spawn your team have left, it means that all 32 players will be spawning there. IF they can't get their act together to kill the campers, then they really deserve to get spawn raped.

Medic - Strike at Karland Maps - 64 player servers.
Stay near the the main group and front lines, and rezz EVERYONE you can.

Yeah it was truly my opinion what I said and does not mean it cannot be done. People have done this a lot to me and it really frustrates me when you know the people have no intention of taking the flag and you cannot spawn elsewhere and all they want to do is rank up points and stats. The Blackhawk at least requires someone that is a decent pilot but it is just shy of camping to me. I suggest take a medic or support and be there for your squad reviving and resupplying you can get some big points doing that too.

I meant to reply to this earlier. I more then nought sit outside of a spawn in armor and nail people spawning in. I do it til the incomnig spawn traffic dies down or I get backup people on the scene. Its just not possible in a tank to roll up to some flags and try to cap it. Your just asking for 3 anti tank rounds, a spec op C4, or something else to blow you away when you try. It would be stupid play on my part to try to cap a flag before its ready to be capped. In the meantime, ill soak up the two points a kill of the people spawning in. When the flag is ready to be capped, I always cap it, but not til I feel sure.

Me too Jeff! That what armor is for IMO. :hehehe:
It's like "STOP SPAWNING HERE!!!!" :yaya:
But they don't for quite a while. They just spawn with anti tank gear and try and duel it out. Ooooops.

There is a fine line between what Jeff does and spawn camping. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. So that is why WiH don't have a no spawn camping rule.

I'm not sure how he does it, but I generally circle the bases (on the maps that you can do that on) firing as I go. A few of the maps it's impossible to do anything but drive right in. Death traps if you ask me.

What he said. What I do may appear to look like spawn camping, but it isnt.

If you play a support class, play the class and you can earn some good team work points. Don't be shy to light up some bad guys as well. Of course neutralizing and capping points gives you some nice points as well. And of course getting in a good squad that communicates will help you up your score, especially if get the blackhawk going right on certian maps.

I'd never spawn camp. Spawn campers are weinnies.
(I just hang out at the spawn points and rape and pillage all the spawning enemy.)

I enjoy camping the carrier. I don't think that is illegal in any way. On alot of maps it really hinders all the seahawks and cobras that fly in. And its also a challenge. I have been on teams that have actually took over the whole map except the carrier and I think a large part of it was us throwing nades and C4 all over the deck and spraying em with bullets =)

sorry karl can't agree with you on this one it is one thing if the base is cappable but if someone is going to sit on the carrier and wait for people to spawn i see that as not very sporting. how is a player going to have a chance if a person camps a flag cappable or not. the owners and other admins may disagree with me and i will not inflict any penalty on anyone doing this since it is not against any rules but i think anyone doing this (all that do this know who you are) is a big stat whore cheap ass bitch

yes sir! but who doesn't play a game to get points.
anyways, the rounds that my squads were successful doing this we dominated them. funny thing is, all they had to do was float a black hawk around the carrier and cap us. or if they had a good commander uav comes in handy. I guess that makes me a statwhore, sir!

I hold no ill will towards people who camp un-cappable bases, even if there are other flags to cap. It's generally not hard to kill them and on most maps where there is an uncappable base, the other teams own main base IS cappable so you can just go take theirs while they do little for their team sitting at your uncappable. Honestly why complain when you can take ALL the bases on the map so they can't spawn and the best they can do is make you lose 1 ticket every 5 seconds or so with ticket bleed.

I've decided one of the best ways to get fast points is to play Strike at Karkand and just whore out the n00b launcher (grenade launcher). I wasn't even trying and scored like 110 points in one round using the "I Win" grenade launcher and insta-gibbing everyone who turned the corner and met me. Kinda reminds me of the old quake rocket launcher days just jumping up and down to get optimal splash damage angle. Also kind of reminds me of SoF2 where people used the gren launchers all of the time.
I can't wait to go back and play assault for the entire map... I think I can easily surpass 150pts in a round.

I see a lot of "I"'s and "me"'s in this string. I am not nor do I claim to be a great BF2 player but what I have found that brings my score up is a squad. A good squad with decent communication and members willing to be whatever is needed medic, assault, whatever blackhawk or not will always have a good score.

Recently, I have just been playing WITHOUT a squad, unless I see certain people in it. It saves me a ton of frustration. I now avoid them because of bad teamplay, or constant spwaning in the same place and dying etc.
And most of the good players are locking their squads, probably because of the same issue.

I myself have been locking the squad bc I find that often times, people join the squad and then run off doing the lone-wolf thing. Or they try to take command of MY squad. WTF? Start your own squad dude! Instead, I have 1 squad member that I can't count on, and 1 squad member that I have to justify my orders to. So my squad is locked 90% of the time now to only those I have played with and know that they'll stick with me and my orders.

Well if you see me on be sure to invite me. I can at least get your medics some points getting me off the ground.

I agree with this.. People argue that BH's are unstopabe and whatever, but a good squad is what makes the difference. Be it in BH, on ground, or in LAVs a good squad will ALWAYS get you more points.
Couple days ago we had a china squad on Oil Fileds and we only held 2 of the 3 beach front flags and we were the top squad, not either of the BH squads, but those of us in a good squad.
