So I'm driving home from getting food. I'm about a 1/2 mile away, about to turn into the turn lane, when all of a sudden I hear a nice *THUMP* *CLACK**CLACK**CLACK* coming from my left rear tire. I pull over to discover this (http://gruthar.antiliger.com/metalbit.jpg) lodged in my tire. Here's my tire after I yanked that thing out, courtesy of my crappy digital camera. Hard to see the shredding, but pay attention to point where the sidewall and the tread meet.

I'm curious if anyone knows what that metal thing is. It just cost me a tire. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

what metal thing? I cant see anything :dunno: Did the tire wear right through? I have had more flat tires than I want to talk about in my lifetime already, cripes in one month I had 3(still thinks it was intentional)

edit: your tire looks kind of bauled(spelling?) if you are referring to the metal wire in the tire, taht is there on purpose, if that comes through you need new tires ASAP, mine are showing on my van, by my tranny is gone so who cares about tires when it cant go anywhere

It looks like a pin for something.. maybe a trailer or something. Honestly I really don't know, though. Either way that sucks!
