View Full Version : Watchmen trailer!

One of my all-time favorite stories coming to life on the silver screen. And it looks to have faithfully recreated several panels from the graphic novel, to a phenomenal degree. I really hope Zack Snyder didn't fuck this up. 300 left a bitter taste in my mouth, but goddammit this could be every bit as revolutionary as the comic was, if done correctly.
EDIT: NVM, it's gone now. It'll be officially released tomorrow however.
EDIT2: Found a new link! Enjoy.

Looks pretty interesting. I really like the imagery the director looks to be presenting the movie in. Very cool. I'm not familiar with the Watchmen storyline but after a tiny bit of reading on the series it sounds like a kick ass story. I like superheroes with super flaws.

I must admit, I have absolutely no idea what The Watchmen comic is like, but after seeing that trailer, I'm definitely going to take a look-see.

Looks interesting. I've never heard of Watchmen before so the trailer made no sense to me.

Vash is not understating. Watchmen is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) comic series. Only 12 issues then it was re-released as a graphic novel. To date, Watchmen remains the only graphic novel to win a Hugo Award and is also the only graphic novel to appear on Time Magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present.
When I sold off my comic collection about 14 years ago there were only two things I kept (and I had quite the extensive collection). That was my Watchmen series and graphic novel, and my Groo collection.
anyhoo... here's link to understand what all the hubbub is about:

My only fear is it is from the same "visonary director that brought you 300." 300 was good, but if he cut out all the slow motion scenes it would have been like 25 minutes long. I left the theater and thought i was traveling at super human speeds after watching 300.
Watch the watchmen trailer again, 1/2 of it is slowmo. =[

I share your worry. The slow motion becomes irritating relatively quick, so I really hope he didn't abuse it.
