I just spent the last six hours riding a four wheeler through mud. I looked like Pig Pen from Peanuts. Luckily I took a shower. But that thing was a mess, great fun.

Before you read any further, I must apologize. Small minded people just seem to tick me off. I shall not return to see the response to this post.
THOSE THAT SERVE, FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM AND OUR INDEPENDENCE!
There are many more places than Iraq and Afghanistan that we currently have troops in.
Please educate yourself before belittling the job that they do for us and the people around the world.
Helping others throughout the world aids us in our own defense, economics and a multitude of other ways.
Please don't be so short-sighted.

My plans for the 4th were homework for the last 4-5 hours until now. Now, BF2.

I drank beer all day, blew **it up the rest of the day and almost got into a bar fight which my Marine buddies backed me up on. So for the most part it was a fairly unusual 4th but for the bar fight. Happy 4th and Semper Fi.

Worked most the day, ate dinner with my folks, and drove up the mountain to watch the fireworks for a bit. Was gonna get some :sniper: in, but I couldn't get a hold of people. Ah well. Happy 4th!

i agree with duckman.
however, remember what it is we celebrate on july 4th we celebrate america declaring it's independence from great brittain, essentially a bunch of rich white men that refused to pay their taxes so they formed a new country where rich people do not have to pay taxes.
and as far as blowing stuff up, once you've used real explosives the fireworks crap just do not get it done. there is nothing quite like a little C4 or comp B to make your day brighter

I've been hanging out with about 6 Marines in the past few days who have all seen combat in Iraq. When the first really big bottle rocket thingy went off yesterday about 4 of them dove to the ground and started looking around for their weapons to return fire (I swear to god). It was one of the most funny things I've ever seen. So I guess the firework makers are doing something right if they can make a bunch of hardcore Marines dive to the ground thinking that they are under mortar and rocket attack.
