Tonight or tomorrow I'll be installing Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Wish me luck! :D

Well, I've only got 2GB at the moment, but I've got another 2GB on order...heard it makes quite a difference.

Now see I tried 64bit Vista on a dual core X2 3600+ with 2 gig ram and a 7900gs. Ran benchmarks and played COD4 and a little BF2 with no problems.
AND then
added a third gig of ram did the same tests and saw no improvement.

I chatted with several techie friends and they thought I was full of it.

Note: I didn't have a single problem with Vista 64bit but have talk to several peeps that had problems with 32bit Vista.

HMMMMMMM

Well, it's up and running and so far I can say I like it. Games are running well, installation went off without a hitch, and after a little tweaking, its running great. :D

Yeah I was thinking about that. But I think I'm gonna wait, things are running well, and I don't want to ruin the experience. :D

I believe it. Most games simply don't use enough memory to use up more than 2 GB, even with Vista - especially not if you have a machine with a lot of Video RAM. I take it the 3rd gig was set up for dual channel, though...?
