I have begun to realize how good of a game CS is. It's just made so well and the player movement and almost everything thats in that game that you can even compare to BF2 is better. With BF2 there is tons of action, non-stop. But I still haven't gotten one of those adrenaline rushes in BF2 that I get in CS. Been trying to play Source a bunch lately =)

hit detection
weapon accuracy
movement speed
gameplay speed
I agree with karl. I'll get adrenaline rushes from cs:s left 'n right when things go sour for my team. The close quarters combat featured in cs:s is unmatched.
However, what I love about bf2 is the sheer amount of combat variables. In cs:s, you learn the routes, firing angles, learn what to expect around the next corner, etc. But you don't have to worry about artillery dropping from the sky an annihilating your team, or tanks to roll up, or apcs, or any of that.
It's even more fun knowing that you're the squad commander and responsible (for the most part) of keeping the team alive.
So in bf2 the amount of "what can go wrong will go wrong" is everywhere, and that's what I like about it.
Two different games that I love :D

Just curious, what does Saur play under on BF2? I haven't seen you on CS in soooooooooooooooo long.
I actually snagged "Saur" for an account name, and that's what I play under in BF2 now.
As far as my absense, indeed. :( My internet's been down for awhile, and it's still off 'n on. More recently, my headset is busted. I'm off to get some fireworks now, gonna stop off at walmart and get some cheap logitech ones.
Again, any suggestions for a surround sound headset? the ltb? logitech? gainward? or zalman?

I how good of a game CS is.
 Never been a fan personally. Fun for the occasional romp, but just never caught my fancy. Probably has somthing to do with the horendous hitboxs/hit detection/whatever you want to call it. And to preclude people wanting to tell me "Dude you're just a F&%$ing nub. You can't aim.", come play BF with me on a infantry map anytime.
...preclude...
I <3 that word. Got headphones, headin' in game :D

Yea basically theres WAY more to BF2. And the stuff that is actually in CS they have been working on since June 1999 so, for the most part, they did it well. I find BF2 way more fun for teamplay that just isn't even there in Source. You can make a squad in BF2, and people will join expecting to cooperate as a team. I love the teamplay. The actual rewards for teamplay in Source are people blocking you, baiting you, getting killed by your own team, and last but not least, they don't even listen and go the other way! I find it way more rewarding to join and play coop in BF2.
And for you guys without mics... you are missing out, BF2 is 10x better with a mic.

You can adjust the hitboxes to some degree in CSS to make the gameplay tighter instead of getting ganked from aruond a corner you were at ten minutes ago.
The styles of play are very different. On foot, shooting skill is not very rewarding. I too often find myself using the most powerful gun in close combat. If you die bc of me it will often be the autosniper on the MEC side or the antitank rocket launcher(great one shot kill weapon:)) Often times on Wih and other servers play is too disorganized to get the proper game play. If you can one man any server, unless you are commander, then you are playing people who do not know what they are doing. This game is heavily dependent on teamplay. I often times see the game only coordinated at the squad level which is rather disappointing.
The game play is often times heavily laggy no matter where I go. Good luck getting on any ranked server with an even semi-respectable ping. The menu system is horrible.
I love the mixed elements of combat, very realistic. However, I find that all were done alright with the exception of a couple outstandings. If all combat systems are made into a whole and then judged, an excellent job was done however, we cannot look at them as a whole bc it is still a first person. So, we see in one aspect at a time allowing us to see the inherent flaws in each system.
I play this game bc it offers something totally different then depending on myself not for the game play.

huh? VOIP has been working beautifully for me. That's how I command my squad and talk to the commander. You must be having some problems on your end.

Yea , VOIP has always worked in WIH although I've found it not working in some other servers. And for commanders... YOU GOTTA USE THAT MIC.. its so helpful when we have a commander who tells you where the guys are.. i mean thats one of the main reasons he has scan.. so why not use it to give away enemy positions.. alot of times I see commanders who don't really play commander they play as the commander so they can put UAV and artillery before they attack somewhere and they hope they win for the 2x stat bonus. Whenever I play commander I hardly even have time to take away the commander screen. In fact, the only time I do is if I feel I need to help or I got to repair something.
